One thing that sounded gay was the female voice doing the introductions, enemy tracking and gun functions. The rock is a good actor, I like him in the run down. Also I didn't see anything saying they weren't from hell, the catch phrase being thrown around in the theather was all hells going to breakloose.

That first-person action is awesome, sure beats all the shakey-camera pan-zoom bullshit that most other action films use.
I think the monsters could still be Monsters from Hell, honestly. Maybe the reason something went wrong is that they unknowingly tapped some sort of gate from hell to complete the Genome. Those monsters look to be the same from the original game, and could easily still be from hell. The "experiment gone wrong" is just a backdrop.
I hate modern action movies but I'm definately gonna see this one!!!
