wingsfan 01-19-2007, 10:53 PM It's a been a fun last couple of months for creationist watching. :) First Ted Haggard gets caught having an affair with a male prostitute, and now Kent Hovind gets nailed for not paying his taxes.

For those of you unfamiliar with Kent, he's a complete "Christian" nutjob (I'm sure he's one of Mark's heros) that believes mand and dinosaur coexisted.

I apologize ahead of time for any loss of brain cells that result from following the link. If you'd like a point by point thrashing of Mr. Hovind's "woo" it can be found here.

wingsfan 01-19-2007, 11:18 PM I've never heard of him
You've never heard of Kent Hovind!?!
I'm amazed.
He's seriously laughable (as all creationists are) and takes 'tarditude to a whole new level.
skydivr7673 01-20-2007, 12:08 AM nope...sorry
I like Ken Ham :)
ahh, why should we be surprised? After all, that guy's favorite argument against evolution is "Were you there??"
WAS HE THERE??
I rest my case....
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 12:10 AM ahh, why should we be surprised? After all, that guy's favorite argument against evolution is "Were you there??"
Have you seen his (home) videos? There's some truly delicious tard in them.
"Grandpa!" (staring incredulously at a picture of a Gorilla)
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 12:12 AM I like Ken Ham :)
Ken's a doozy. Apparently even the other Aussie creationists (your Weiland/Sarfati buddies) think hes slimy/greedy.
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 12:28 AM false assertion based on nothing
Oh? Please explain why there's no longer an Australia chapter of AIG?
typical of the materialist "character assassination" mantra
Yeah, too bad it's creationists attacking creationists out in the open though.

wingsfan 01-20-2007, 12:28 AM no...but we accept the Word of the One Who was...
and is, and is to come!
How profound.
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 12:38 AM You still haven't answered whether women can speak in church.
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 12:41 AM thank you
you're welcome.
actually, thank the Lord Jesus Christ, who spoke those words
Maybe. If he ever actually existed.
skydivr7673 01-20-2007, 05:53 AM false assertion based on nothing

umm, no....what he stated is fact. AiG no longer exists, except for two places, the US and the UK. Before, AiG also had offices in four other countries, including Australia. What used to be AiG Australia is now called Creation Ministries International. And it is one messy split. Perhaps you should take the time to verify such assertions before blindly striking them as false....
Tofuball 01-20-2007, 06:08 AM Hrm. Failure to pay taxes.
"Render unto Cesar what is Cesar's." and so forth.
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 10:03 AM you read it, you know what is stated
So God is a misogynist?
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 10:52 AM not at all
Yet it's a shame for women to speak in church and a "silent wife" is a "gift from the Lord". Sounds pretty misogynistic to me.
but the man has the position of authority, by Divine mandate
I can see why you're still single.
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 11:07 AM I don't see how anyone can look at the feminist agenda and believe the world is a better place
Agreed. Feminazis irritate me almost as much as creationists.
wingsfan 01-20-2007, 11:37 AM we agree on something, amazing :)
You'd probably be surprised on how much we agree on once you cast aside our religious beliefs. I know you like to paint me as liberal, but I'm pretty conservative, and I tend to vote Republican...prior to the current administration anyways. GW and his merry band of ragamuffins are forcing me to rethink where my vote goes.
