I just read about a "low budget" (~$1,000,000) wind tunnel that all the Winston Cup and Nascar teams have booked solid for the next year and a half at $1,250/hour. They're running three 8 hour shifts to keep it open 24 hours a day. Mo' money, mo' money, mo' money! :) They can simulate motion by spinning all four wheels and venting air through the floor to move the body as it would on the track. They wrote all their own software as well. He's building an even more economical version for the semi-pro racers that should cost about $450 per hour.
