I am almost done with 5spd stuff. I only have a few more parts:
tranny
flywheel
clutch
starter
tranny mount and bracket
"Both switches for clutch and their plug-in connectors"
Thats all that is left on my complete walthrough I got off a Prelude site.
I want to know wtf is "Both switches for clutch and their plug-in connectors"???
I have no clue what that means or what it is.

also...it has a list of bols needed and it says:
-Bolts Needed
Transmission bolt that goes through starter and bolt below it(the two longest bolts)
Flywheel bolts
Pressure plate bolts
Slave cylinder bolts
Intermediate shaft hanger bolts
Transmission shifter bracket bolts
WHERE AM I TO FIND ALL THESE SPECIFIC BOLTS?? When Osborne is doing swap, if he needs any bolts, he can just run to hardware store and get them?
Just trying to get some last minute stuff together.

No you cant jsut run to the store. Odds are, most of the hardware holding the auto tranny to the motor will work with the manual.
The two switches their talking about is on that goes on the clutch pedel that wont let the car start unless the clutch is depressed, the other I assum is for cruise control. thats haw it was int eh 240. that way if u got cruise on, and i tap the clutch it turns cruise off. car will work fine with out either switch, just make sure that its not in gear if u crank it with teh clutch out. or jsut press the clutch every time u crank it like every one else does. I can immagine its a PITA to wire them two switches.
again on the bolts, what ever your going to need, your gonan have to either source, or go directly to honda. Go ahead and order a set of Flywheel bolts, your gonna wanna repalce thems any ways. make sure and use loc tight on them. Might not hurt to pick up a FSM too... jsut so you have all the troque specs and ****. u dont want the flyweehsl rattleing its self loose at 6500 rpms and cutting your legs off cus it wasnt torqued correctly.
Good luck on it. Chris and I both have done 5 speed swaps, so you got pleantly of pickable knowledge. dont just let chris do it all for you. learn how to do it ur self. good stuff to know

i didn't pay for it...besides, i showed you the wiring to do it...i would NEVER attempt that. since then, i've changed trannies and stuff in a FWD, and i've helped cory do 2 manual swaps in his 240...i did everything except put in the clutch, manual tranny and wiring...pretty much the entire thing by myself.

The hardest thing about the rx7 was the wiring. The entire main harness, gauge cluster/cluster harness, etc are all different. Even the engine main harness is different. To make it worse theyre not just interchangeable. You have to replace all of them or rewire about 60 wires. I created my own "custom" harness and all is well now. Of course not much is stock about the car now...

i got that walkthrough, and it has all wiring and everything..so it should be pretty simple for the mechanically inclined..

How much did the Manual Swap cost you all together? Would it not have been better to get an H22 first and get the manual swap last?

i dont give a s-h-i-t about H22...im not worried about performance in the prelude..i got another vehicle for drag racing...i want manual for fun, maybe i little better performance..;)...and cause its just that much better..
