A persons blind faith has caused alot of things that just plain go against their religion. Your supposed to treat your neighbor well and not kill anyone, yet when people feel a threat against the thing they spend their lives devoted to they lash out and start killing people...

Perfect example of that, rodney, is the people who kill doctors who perform abortions, because abortion is murder.

you use "they" in a very general sense, but it is currently only true of Muslims and some Hindus
the Crusades were not a Christian endeavor, rather, Roman catholic
Um, at the time, there were no Christians. The modern Christian church came about after the Crusades.
Also, please do not make blanket statements about other religions. Read the rules if needs be.

I wasn't trying to pinpoint any specific type of person. There are nutcases in every religion.
If I remember right the antichrist is supposed to come preaching good things. In my mind that's the perfect starting point for a "I'll lead you to salvation, but look! Those people are trying to stop me, we must kill them all." So the origional quote seems very possible.
