I work with a guy that builds bikes as a hobby, and IIRC his pet "ultralight" project is down to somewhere less then 15 pounds and he only has around 2k in it as it sits.

But, this is the fifth or six rendition of it. I think last time he totalled up all his titanium and carbon parts he said he had somewhere in the range of $10,000 worth of parts in his garage.

I don't even know, or want to know how much total he has in the six built bikes in his garage, let alone all the half completed projects.

With exception to the wheels and handle bars everything was pretty much used (with less than 200 miles).

Never crashed.

Both bikes were at a local bike shop over the weekend where the pics were taken.

I heard that it drew quite a crowd, especially the Softride.
