bx7 06-15-2006, 05:35 AM I love them. They're great. For the last few years I've been buying mortar kits from Phantom Fireworks for the family annual 4rth of July Show. This year's show will be automated with switches but I'd like to get to running everything with a laptop. Does anyone here have expertise in this area? Hades12 06-15-2006, 07:56 AM A buddy of mine has been writting a VB program to do this. Aglient has a nice little USB I/O device that would be great for this. dltreezan 06-17-2006, 12:44 PM dude that would be sweet. nothing like that around here though Ark2 06-17-2006, 01:29 PM My dad and I make our own fireworks every summer but we've never used a laptop to set them off. Sounds intriguing. Say No To Pistons 06-17-2006, 01:38 PM send some to NYC... i cant find any around here... Ark2 06-17-2006, 09:29 PM send some to NYC... i cant find any around here... I've brought fireworks over the border in the past, but never into the US. Border security would probably gut my car to pieces. Blotto 06-20-2006, 10:25 AM It sucks around here, all we can get are sparklers and smoke bombs. Tried going out of state on my way to VA from NJ and they wouldn't sell anything good to people from out of state. Anyone know of a way I could get decent fireworks in VA or NJ? bx7 06-20-2006, 11:45 AM Phantom Fireworks has a shop in Easton PA. Check their website. PhatomFireworks.com Feeze 06-20-2006, 03:50 PM Fireworks are over rated. but thats just me. Brokenone 06-20-2006, 06:28 PM Every year for the past five years we have been going to SC to pick up some mortars and rockets, never had any problem being an out of state buyer ( other then the time a Tn state trooper was watching every car in the parking lot and we were the only Va car there). Say No To Pistons 06-20-2006, 07:18 PM Fireworks are over rated. but thats just me. why dont you try lighting one up while holding it? Scrotopotomous 06-20-2006, 07:25 PM interesting idea ... if you get this working get some video Brokenone 06-20-2006, 07:26 PM Been there done that and thankfully I don't have any scares to prove it. NDTComputers 06-20-2006, 09:17 PM After my friend and I almost lit the woods on fire with a cake that tipped over last year I have been refraining. But I used to blow things up with firecrackers in the basement all the time. Skylance 06-21-2006, 07:28 AM A buddy of mine has been writting a VB program to do this. . . . Now I would really love to see the code for that! 6.0 or .net? Feeze 06-21-2006, 12:40 PM why dont you try lighting one up while holding it? Yeah, but roman candles don't last that long. |
