So, two out of four fenders suck, the engine is losing coolant, and I have to fix up some of the other stuff. I'm taking the 13B out of this, rebuilding it, porting it, and putting it into my FB. As for this, LS1 and T56 coming soon, and since those two fenders are fucked, I might go wide body, or at least do the flares on the back. Overall, I'm happy with it, and think I got a pretty good deal.

Here's the engine... It has a brand new water pump and some hoses were replaced. The guy I bought it from said it has a blown apex seal, but it runs fine. I'm thinking coolant seal, but I'm going to do all the tests anyway.

Cool, I got lucky with my free '87 Sport as it has no rust. None. Since you're going with the LS1 I'd do a decent widebody kit and get real rubber under all 4 corners. With a little suspension work and chassis bracing you'll have a wicked little ride.

Looks like you will be having a lot of fun in the coming months. You definitely got a good deal!

The missing button is for the rear wiper.....even though it appears it didn't come with one. Looks pretty good for $500. I'll be waiting for progress pics. :)

Yep, it runs, just not well. It looks a lot worse than it is, it's actually in pretty good shape. A lot of the stuff on it can be fixed in a weekend. And I only paid $500. :D

So in real life, the body isn't rotting off? Have you been under it? My blue t2 has not dime of surfsace rust at 50k miles. But the underside is pretty significant. Texas car, im the second owner.
