So one of the walls in my basement leaks when it rains, and I was thinking of a cheap way to fix it. Tell me if you think it would work.

The contents of the "blue box" (It's not really blue anymore thanks to saving as a hyper compressed JPG) are what I'm referring to as a fix.

That stuff is expensive, and PROPPER application is on the exterior of the wall, already covered by dirt. I'd have to excavate to apply a proper covering - otherwise the wall itself will not be protected from water, greatly weakening it.
Oh, also, the previous owner had the same idea - It's flaking off the cinder blocks, and the blocks themselves are as strong as sand from the years of water getting to them and then freezing and unfreezing . . . probably why I needed to replace them :P
