$100T2 05-09-2008, 09:14 PM So a buddy of mine recommended flax seed oil to me for general joint health. I've been taking it for about 3 weeks now, and I gotta say, my joints actually feel a lot smoother. Considering the number of surgeries I've had on my knee and wrist, as well as my upcoming ankle surgeries, it's kinda nice to have my joints not clicking and popping. What else is out there for general joint health? And, can you guys recommend any supplements to aid in flexibility? wotnartd 05-10-2008, 12:16 AM Glucosamine condroitin. I take it because I have cement mixers in the shoulders. It works. Flax seed makes me poop a lot. TJGoSurf 05-10-2008, 10:05 AM Omega 3 fish oil. And joints pop because of tendons running over bones not being flexible. Try some yoga at home. Tofuball 05-10-2008, 10:30 PM Hrm, my knees and back tend to hurt a lot, so I'll give it a shot :P $100T2 05-13-2008, 10:19 AM do you have early arthritis? No, it usually arrives right on time. :D Yeah, I have arthritis in all my post-surg or post-injury joints. It sucks. It's especially bad in the winter. th8rguy 05-13-2008, 02:14 PM Flax, Fish Oil, chondroitin all work. itrhybrid 05-14-2008, 09:16 PM I've taken fish oil in the past. Will probably start again soon. Always go with high quality stuff though. Pharmaceutical grade, Ultimate Omega is good stuff. Tofuball 05-14-2008, 09:29 PM How do you guys know that it really works? I am very skeptical about this kind of stuff. wotnartd 05-14-2008, 11:52 PM How do you guys know that it really works? I am very skeptical about this kind of stuff. It's science! $100T2 05-15-2008, 11:12 AM car wreck? Basketball injuries. rtryb2200 05-22-2008, 09:15 PM we give my dog glucosamine twice a day, if we don't he has a limp after 2 or 3 days of little rest wotnartd 05-22-2008, 09:54 PM I ran out of glucosamine. It really works. All my nasty little joints are screaming bloody murder. I'll be near Walgreen's tomorrow, at least. rtryb2200 05-23-2008, 11:29 PM I can ship you some of my dogs wotnartd 05-23-2008, 11:36 PM Nah... I think I'll go with the kind made for people. I forgot to get it today. Tomorrow. rtryb2200 05-23-2008, 11:38 PM I could drop it off on our way up north....no shipping costs $100T2 06-06-2008, 02:59 PM no link between cancer and poor nutrition, huh, kevin? guess again The four oncologists I work for say no. Seeing that they are all professors, I take their word for it. wotnartd 06-06-2008, 07:34 PM no link between cancer and poor nutrition, huh, kevin? guess again I know a Vegan woman, very natural stuff. She's a master composter, farms worms, organic garden, whole nine. She just had a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy/oophorectomy. She lives healthier than you. AND AND AND she goes to church on Sunday. $100T2 06-07-2008, 09:43 PM Personally, I think cancer is more likely to be viral in origin than anything else... Like a hereditary susceptibility to a cancerous viral infection. |
