well I installed my BOV today, which involved getting a flange welded onto the TID. I brought every thing home and installed it, and it seemed to work well, no boost drop, nice loud woosh every time u let off the gas, but it had a really bad hesistation in low RPMs. I had also noticed my stock boost guage was jumping around in the boost range, but was nice and smooth under vacume.  after 45 frustrating minuets of tracing vacume lines and checking connections, i found the boost gauge sensor line had about a 4 inch split down the bottom side of it that i had not seem befor.  I replaced that line and my hesistation problem was solved.  Feeling good about it all i decided to go for a ride in it.  I got on 385 towards greenville and was crusing on and of fthe gas listening to the BOV.  its loud enoguh to hear at 70 mph with the windows down at only 5 psi. not reliseing i was beside a white 93-97 model forumla fire bird i continued hitting my bov until i guess it pissed him off, and he took off. as soon as he did i got on it and slowly creeped up on him at about 85 he had some type of horrible sounding exhaust on it, and it was extremely loud. he kept on it and i continued to creep up on him and started pulling on him. at about 95 he gave up and i let off, and started hitting the bov again.  haha  felt pretty cool

All GTs probably from 79-98 were actually pretty sad stock. &nbsp; When it comes to 4.6s mods though youre definitely gonna pay a lot more. Most Camaros were slow from 70s-92. &nbsp; But what can I say theyre still evolving. &nbsp;Imports have come a very long way from the 70s.

sad stock eh? what do you drive that mid 14s is sad....
85% of cars made today arent faster than 15.0

Actually it ran 9.36 all stock which is a 14.60. &nbsp; My friends all stock 00 ran a 8.95 bone stock which is close to a 13. &nbsp; He runs 8.87 with mods b/c traction was a big problem with it even stock (best 1.95 60' stock). My best has been a 2.05. My car came with Flowmasters but I dont think that adds any power.

see ya at a track... should be a good race. &nbsp;ive got very minimal mods <img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> but enough i should be able to run a 14.0 when it cools off in the fall, and dip in to the 13s with ease on slicks

Hey Im supposed to be the one that says that. But yeah I need a pair of axles and a clutch and I'll be sk8. What kinda tech inspection do they do at the GA track if any?

check battery to see if its secure.. if youve got a remote battery you need to look at NHRAs rules on that...they look for anything obviously wrong.. thats if they bother checking... usually about 75% the check me. &nbsp;if theyre hella busy and youre not on of the like first 10 cars through tech they just look at your card and write the number on your car.

what did you do to your axles??

:What did you do to your axles?:

Random acts of voilence mostly. &nbsp;Launching at 5500-6000 with a &quot;naws&quot; on slicks several times, lots and lots of donuts, and mostly giving the car hell. I gotta give props to the motor Ive gave it 30k of hell and its never broke.

08-04-2002, 04:42 PM
lol, fords never break
