If you know anything about car audio, then you have obviously heard of these. These are monsters, and are not made for SQ, but PURELY SPL. Just to get loud. Many people use these in Competitions.

I have 2 of them. Asking $400 for both, or I will sell apart for $200 a piece. These subs sell for $200 on EBAY and around $400-$500 new, but NO ONE sells them new because it is an older sub.

1200w peak, but these subs will take 5000w, Ive seen them take 3000-5000 watts and perform BEAUTIFULLY!

Strokers sound GOD AWFUL. They're sloppy, have horrible bass response, but damn they get loud as hell, and they seem to take quite a beating.

Too bad i'm not in the SPL circuit anymore :(, but if you ebay them i'm sure someone will take them off your hands quick. If you want an easier time selling them, clean them up a bit. They look like they came out someone's garage.

Just the surround pealing off...I got the Strokers through some dealing and swapping..traded 1 Fosgate POWER HX2 12" for both strokers..the fosgate is $499 brand new and is 2k watt, dual2 ohm...TOP OF LINE

The guy had the strokers running on a PlanetAudio BB1250.1...running at 2ohms cause thats as low as you can go with 1 sub, so it was only getting 800w with that amp, but it was still sickening to your stomach...

Genius, they are from the 80s....forget the looks...who buys a Stroker for the looks? No one..it is a 20yr old sub...look on ebay..they are going for exactly $200...

Actually, I think they are from the 90's(94-95ish)...but I remember they were one of the best subs at the time...all the SPL comp. cars rocked them. I never understood why they used paper cones.

I was wondering the same thing..you would think it would be built to be more durable, but it is duarble enough with a paper cone..

Strokers have looked the same since their debut, which was in the early to mid 90's. I've seen them in comps for the past 10 years, and they've always looked the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)

Anyway, yea, it's some pretty strong paper. You'd set the voice coil on fire before the cone gets worn.
