2ndGen.Rocket 10-28-2005, 07:59 AM For some reason, Internet Explorer just stopped allowing me to access my online banking page, my capital one login page, and gmail. All are secure websites, and each time I attempt to login I get the page cannot be displayed notice immediately after clicking the login button. I downloaded Firefox after getting pissed and saying fuck IE, but now Firefox won't connect to any website, a window pops up saying the connection was refused. Can anyone tell me what the fuck is going on? I need to transfer some money around here and can't because of this bullshit. That'll solve your problem :D rxtasy 10-28-2005, 10:36 AM usually a restart will resolve some problems i have. i've also found that when all else fails, re-format the hd and reinstall everything. King 10-28-2005, 10:41 AM i'll drive down and take a look at it if you make it worth my while ($$$) 2ndGen.Rocket 10-28-2005, 02:18 PM I'm not gonna reformat the hard drive and reintstall everything, I'd rather just buy a new damn laptop before I do that. But this just started yesterday. For some reason when I tried to access certain secure websites it won't let me. 2ndGen.Rocket 10-28-2005, 02:18 PM i'll drive down and take a look at it if you make it worth my while ($$$) How bout some head instead? Alex-7 10-28-2005, 02:46 PM How bout some head instead? Soo, You'd rather give him head instead of $$$? rx-7_Z06 10-28-2005, 02:56 PM http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a16/theblackC5/liketehcock2.png rx-7_Z06 10-28-2005, 02:58 PM but seriously... you have a virus. Either do a reinstall or sit there for hours trying to clean it out. SpartanTS 10-28-2005, 03:01 PM I'm not gonna reformat the hard drive and reintstall everything, I'd rather just buy a new damn laptop before I do that. But this just started yesterday. For some reason when I tried to access certain secure websites it won't let me. It's not that hard to reformat. Hell you sound about as bad as the people I deal with everyday at work. "My computer doesn't work. I guess i'll buy another one". You probably have a virus, and all the Norton/McAfee/Panda/Kapersky ain't gon' help you. Your computer possibly will still be in a complete mess. It comes from you lookin at the Nekkid section too much :D King 10-28-2005, 03:37 PM I really doubt it's a virus. It's simply a security setting more than likely. It's probably something within internet options or network options. Also, if you installed firefox and didnt allow the connection to the internet through your software firewall (mcafee, zonealarm, etc) try that. I would definitely check the internet settings, maybe reset them to medium if they're on custom. Delete your TIF and clear your cookies also. If you want, pm me and i'll get on AIM and try to help you... Cosby 10-28-2005, 03:39 PM It could possibly also be a problem with your router if you have one. Did you change any settings or download anything recently? Is your software up to date via windowsupdate? ComradeGiant 10-28-2005, 03:51 PM No one has said it yet so: Clear the cache, cookies, history, and all that shit from both browsers. Then use housecall to scan your computer thouroughly. Cosby 10-29-2005, 07:14 AM probably because it won't fix it King 10-29-2005, 03:50 PM The same people that describe every computer malfunction as a "virus" are the same ones that read consumer reports.... talkderby2me 11-01-2008, 04:42 PM Sounds like you have a firewall blocking your accesss. Try disabling it. 1revnrex 11-01-2008, 05:33 PM Awesome, spam douche bumped a 3 y/o thread. |
