I needed deodorant... that's all... only thing that's open is wal-mart. So I go get it, bring it to the "express lane" where there's approx 15 other people in front of me... where I waited in line for 20 minutes.
1: The cashier. I really started to ask if she could possibly move any fucking slower. She acted as if she were oblivious to the huge line and I could read her thoughts of "I'm getting paid by the hour, it doesnt matter." My work ethic would be to hustle my ass and get the people through there. Yeah, you're working at wal mart for minimum wage. Not my fault, everyone has to start somewhere and all of those without a silver spoon work at least one shitty job. I worked retail for 3 1/2 years. I changed the entire business, made profits skyrocket, and ended up making more than a couple of people that had been there 10+ years. Hard work does fucking pay off in one way or the other. If you have no work ethic and you're lazy... you will stay your ass right there in wal-mart the rest of your life.
2: The lazy ass 20 year olds on the motorized things. Now, these things are designed for handicapped people that truly need them. Sounds like a great idea to me, except when the 500 lb trailer trash blocks the entire lane going 12 inches every 3 seconds. Tonight, there's 2 girls riding them around grocery shopping. Both were between 18-21 and looked to be in good health, just laying on the things like they're in pimp mode. I did see them walk out of the store and they walked perfectly... just pure fucking lazyness.
3: The black family in line in front of me. 2 parents, 1 daughter about 10, 1 son about 5, and 1 son about 3. The 5 year old son wants a 33 cent hershey bar. His parents tell him no they aren't paying for it so he asks his sister. his sister has some change so she agrees to buy it for him. Now, his parents wouldn't let his sister just give them the 30 cents, they made her purchase it seperately from all of their groceries. Again, these people pretend they were oblivious to the long ass line that had gotten even larger behind me. I mean, they wouldn't spend 30 fucking cents on their kid in the first place, but then wouldn't just let the daughter give it to them and save the rest of us time by adding it to their shit? The kids were even dressed well, and extremely well behaved... didn't seem like hardcore trash.
You know, what the fuck is wrong with people, or is there something wrong with me? My parents taught me to have a good work ethic, and if I agree to WORK for a certain hourly rate, then EARN it... doing the bare minimum does nothing but lead to failure. Hell, I'm even capable of walking around picking up my own groceries at the age of 23 and not robbing the conveinence of the motorized carts from a handicapped person that may actually need them. I even park far away from stores when it's busy, not because I can't park or that I'm scared of something happening to my car... but that God has blessed me with health and a good set of legs so i'll leave the closer spots for older people. If any kid in this world asked me for 30 cents, I'd give it to them. It's 30 cents... wtf? It wasn't that they didn't want their kid having chocolate, it's that they didn't want to spend 30 cents! Furthermore, why not be considerate and just take Kid A's 30 cents to pay for kid B's hershey bar and save the rest of us time? Seriously... what the fuck is wrong with people? Since when is a good work ethic and being courteous to others something that a person shouldn't desire in themselves?

czarofzar 07-03-2007, 09:41 PM My work ethic would be to hustle my ass
Zero, I swear you are my off spring. is your mom name Talisha and has torpedo tits??
I expect people to act civilized and use common sense everywhere.
Queen 07-03-2007, 10:01 PM Wal-mart is an alien planet as far as I'm concerned, and that's how I treat it if I'm forced to walk in there
rodney87 07-03-2007, 10:38 PM I almost never go to the front of the store to buy my stuff at wall mart. The sports area and the jewlery place will both ring up your stuff for you so I'm in and out in 5 min tops.
But your right, society is taking a trip down the crapper. I've givin up hope long ago
Say No To Pistons 07-04-2007, 12:53 AM Lucky me, we don't have trailer trash walmarts around here. I only notice morons that park their carts sideways (blocking the whole aisle obviously) at one end of the aisle and end up looking at box of cereal or some other shit at the other end... And dumb asses who can't decide on what they want to buy until they get to the cashier.
wotnartd 07-04-2007, 06:33 AM Self checkout FTW
AmishBoy 07-04-2007, 03:46 PM I love the self check out line.
ChronoBasher 07-11-2007, 03:05 PM you go to Wal-Mart and expect to see exemplary human beings?
