Man, I was riding down I-10 from Mobile, AL into Pensacola, FL. There's this bridge that's like 10-15 miles long right outside of mobile, and there's never any cops on it. It's the area where most people hit like 100+ going across it. Well, anyway, I was sitting in the right lane, just cruisin with my wife after a long trip. It was about, I'd say, midnight on a sunday/monday night. All of a sudden, a maroon accord rides by, and all I can really hear, besides his exaust, which was visible through the missing rear bumper and hung with coat hangers, was the unmistakable whining/hissing sound of a turbo. I was like, aw hell no, something that ugly is blown? Anyway, I just kinda shook my head and wondered why he didn't put the money from the turbo into the bumper and primer spots instead. After it seemed he was going to pull past me, he slows down and cruising beside me. I just ignored him for the most part. Then, he revs his motor at me, and again, there is a distinct turbocharged whistling coming from it. When he kicks it off, I realized it was an automatic, and starts to INSANELY SLOWLY pull off on me. I was like, oh give me a break. We were at about 65-70, so I knew third gear would be at, or at least close to, my vtec engagement point. I geared it into third, and sure enough, it only took about 500 more RPMS for it to engage. Whoomp, even through his momentum on me, I gained on him enough to get in front of him due to slow traffic coming up in my lane. At the end of third gear (That's right, didn't even have to shift) I let off and got back over into the right lane. The guy won't come back up to beside me. I was thinking to myself, WTF, this guy, if he's boosting, should have had alot more pull than that, even if it WAS auto. I slow down and force him to come past me. As I look, it's two zit faced white kids, and the driver is stiff arming, won't look at me. As he passes, I realize exactly what had happened. I see something inside his muffler. It took a second, but I figured it out, and almost wet myself with laughter. It was one of those turbo sound makers you can get off ebay. So, I had an extremely huge laugh, unable to believe someone actually USED those, and went home. Hell, I knew something had to be wrong to pull on him THAT hard. I am N/A, and my best time is only a 13.12, so it's not like I am fast enough to eat a turbo car that quickly. All in all, it was a funny experience.

ok..i read ur profile....and you have simple boltons....there is no way you are running a 13.12 in the 1/4 if you arent using Nitrous....so...fill me in..

My info doesn't list Clutch, flywheel, LSD, FMI, pisons, rods, cranks, head work, anything like that, now does it? Why would I want to spill ALL the beans?

And again, you never know if I am or aren't running nitrous, eh?

If you run a 13.12 in that car how it sits with or without nitrous, I will give you a good condition used turbo with little or no shaft play. Have 2 spares at a friends house. Post a video and I will ship your turbo.

Why watch it on a video? I will be discharged in about a month, and you can come to the track and watch personally when I get home. Shiat, that's a free turbo, I'll accept that deal fo sho. Hell, I think I have some time slips out in the car , if you would also like to see one of those.
