George Carlin on New Orleans

Been sitting here with my ass in a wad, wanting to speak out about the
bullshit going on in New Orleans. For the people of New Orleans...
First we would like to say, Sorry for your loss. With that said, Lets go through a few hurricane rules: (Unlike an earthquake, we know it's coming)

#1. A mandatory evacuation means just that..Get the hell out.
Don't blame the Government after they tell you to go. If they hadn't
said anything, I can see the argument. They said get out... if you didn't,
it's your fault, not theirs. (We don't want to hear it, even if you don't have a car, you can get out.)

#2. If there is an emergency, stock up on water and non-perishables.
If you didn't do this, it's not the Government's fault you're starving.

#2a. If you run out of food and water, find a store that ! has some.
(Remember, shoes, TV's, DVD's and CD's are not edible. Leave them alone.)

#2b. If the local store has been looted of food or water, leave your neighbor's TV and stereo alone. (See # 2a) They worked hard to get their
stuff. Just because they were smart enough to leave during a mandatory evacuation, doesn't give you the right to take their stuff...it's theirs, not yours.

#3. If someone comes in to help you, don't shoot at them and then complain no one is helping you. I'm not getting shot to help save some dumbass who didn't leave when told to do so.

#4. If you are in your house that is completely under water, your
belongings are probably too far gone for anyone to want them. If someone does want them, let them have them and hopefully they'll die in the filth. Just leave! (It's New Orleans, find a voodoo warrior and put a curse on them)

#5. My tax money should not pay to rebuild a 2 million dollar house,
a sports stadium or a floating casino. Also, my tax money shouldn't go
to rebuild a city that is under sea level. You wouldn't build your house
on quicksand would you? You want to live below sea-level, do your
country some good and join the Navy.

#6. Regardless of what the Poverty Pimps Jessie Jackson and Al
Sharpton want you to believe, The US Government didn't create the Hurricane as a way to eradicate the black people of New Orleans; (Neither did Russia as a way to destroy America). The US Government didn't cause global warming that caused the hurricane (We've been coming out of an ice age for over a million years).

#7. The government isn't responsible for giving you anything. This is
the land of the free and the home of the brave, but you gotta work for what you want. McDonalds and Wal-Mart are always hiring, get a damn job and
stop spooning off the people who are actually working for a living.
President Kennedy said it best..."Ask not what your country can do for
you, ask what you can do for your country."

Thank you for allowing me to rant.

George has no idea what's going on.

MC Donald’s and Wal Mart will not hire evacuees.

Ask. Ask as if you’re an evacuee yourself.

Yes, blame the government. They said they would help you. They are not. They will not. Neither will the private sector. How will you get a job with no place to live or phone?

How about a cell phone? The cell phone companies are turning off the phones of people who have not paid there bill by the first. Displaced or not. I've asked. Then those people have to pay even more for breaking their 2 year contract.

TV’s DVD players are worth money. With no help coming you’d find it very surprising how quick humans turn to their hunter gatherer side to help their families. Half of the have jobs and the government won't let them back into the city...

This creates another problem. If you've been relocated Texas, how do you pay your rent for the month at your place in the 9th ward. Especially if you couldn’t go back to work the day after the hurricane. Landlords are throwing people stuff out on the street. Even if there is no water in their particular apartment just wind damage. Why? Money Of course.
Hurricane or not, you didn’t pay your rent this month. “You’ve been relocated to Houston, I don’t care If you don’t have the rent in my hand in 48 hours I’m putting you down as having broken your lease agreement.” DO you know how much it cost to break a lease?

There is so much money to be made off these people, and that’s just what T-mobile, AT&T, Cingular Wireless, Realtors Used Car dealers ect. Are doing.

Of course you heard about what State Farm Insurance did. Over 3 thousand get nothing because they flood insurance not hurricane.

You can’t just leave. You need to work at your job. You need to get as much stuff out of your house as possible because no one is gonna help you rebuild your life. Sure someone will give you some blankets, maybe let you stay in their house for a little, but this is America and you’re black. Just 30-40 years ago you’d be getting no help at all.

Hells yes blame the government. They said if you have no where to go, “Go to the Super Dome” No security No food No water No Officials No Direction No one really giving a shit. And you better pay your cell bill on time or you be able to contact FEMA or HUD.

16 different Neighborhoods in Texas aren’t allowing trailers in peoples driveways because it makes the streets look “cluttered” bringing down property values and scaring potential buyers.

George Carlin has not been working with Hurricane Victims for the past 5 weeks 8 hours a day…

I have.

This coming from "Mr. Megabucks"

In any case, just to address a part of his statement:

Again, it is NOT the government's fault for poor response and poor evacuation procedures.... It's within the LOCAL's power to take care of all that, then the government steps up to bat and offers aid for all the rest of the stuff when it's requested in a TIMELY fashion...

You don't ask for help till the last minute, you get it at the last minute... And if you don't know WTF you're doing when you're head of a city of people underwater, you really shouldn't be pointing fingers around at other people to blame them for actions you could have taken to prevent such....

I hate the victim story from folks that have large horse-like cocks.

At least they have something else to relish and entertain throughout their lives.........

Hey, victims are victims.... There's no disputing trying to help out someone in need....

But when they start blaming highest powers for something that should have been accounted for by the guy who's JOB it is to protect the citizens, it gets on my last damn nerve....

Sad thing is, I think it might have something to do with "not wanting to blame the black brotha man" in the matter....

I think I'd have more sympathy if it weren't for A) the rampant stupidity of building a city in one of the worst places to build a city, B) the rampant stupidity of the populace for not taking the threat seriously (come on, its almost as bad as the radar officer at Pearl saying that there was no possible way there was ACTUALLY a Japanese fleet knocking on the door and tossing the report), and C) the fact that they let their idiot Mayor convince them that everything would be fine and that there was no need to call for federal aid until it was far too late.

Yes its sad what is happening to these people. But to start blaming other people for your fuckups is just ludicrous.

I live in a region called the Cascadia Subduction Zone. This is where the Pacific and Juan De Fueca plates are being pulled under the North American plate. It hasn't broken in 300 years, so the next earthquake here has been estimated to be in the 9+ magnitude. What does this have to do with anything you ask? Simple: I did not move into a house in the Tsunami inundation zone. I chose a house away from the center of town. I chose a 1 story wooden structure. I moved into the part of town that is not built on bay muds. And once the shaking stops I will GTFO because I picked a house with access to multiple roads, none of which have bridges to collapse.

I will NOT: bitch that my house got sucked into the ground when the bay muds liquefy, bitch when my house collapses because I picked a house on top of a hill (read FAULT), bitch because my house is wiped from the face of the planet by half the Pacific ocean, bitch because I have no food and water because I didn't leave when they told me to.

This is something we call "Planning Ahead", its something the people of New Orleans DIDN'T DO. And because of that, my sympathy for them is minimal.

I'm talking about now. Not back then.

What about fucking now.

They're still displaced and cell phone companies are turning off their phones.
Landlords are throwing out the stuff of people who are displaced who don't have transportation and have not been back to pay rent.

There is alot of money to made and I am putting the name of all landlords who have done this to these victims. These people are Americans and they are not being treated as such.

State FArm Insurance in my mind is the enemy of the American people, a orginization filled with traitors of the American people and enemy's of the state. No matter how many heart felt commercials they make. They only get by on the fact they are not a publically traded company and I can't get there tax records.

This country's got a shit storm-a-brewin'.

The past is the past. At this point and time October 21rst. HUD and FEMA have a little over 400 homes to place people in. Fuck companies and orginizations. We need the help of people want to help outside of donating money.

"They're so poor and so black."- None of you understand how much truth is in that statement. Especially in divided Neo-Con America.
