rodney87 03-09-2007, 02:23 PM At wallmart today I saw a 5 megapixel camera for 104 bucks. 2.5 in display, 3X zoom. My memory is crap but the brand started with a V, vivia or something like that. There was also a 5 MP 2.4 in display for 103 but the brand name is long gone in the nogin. I have a 3 MP kodak but its a few years old and cost me alot more when I bought it, not to mention its the size of a tank, these two would fit in my pocket :) Say No To Pistons 03-09-2007, 03:27 PM How much do you want to bet that a budget point and shoot Canon A520 4.0 can beat all the POS cameras you listed? Animal 03-09-2007, 07:43 PM I have an old Sony i bought several years ago. It's got a tiny screen, 3mp, came with a 16MB stick (now have a 128MB in there). The damn thing's been dropped several times (mostly onto concrete/asphalt) and still takes good pics. Bigger screen = bigger target, easier to break. Also go with a name-brand known for digital cameras. rodney87 03-09-2007, 09:52 PM Only brand names I know are kodak, nikkon and canon. I just listed all I know about quality cameras, I need some learning in this area. Normality_Glitch 03-10-2007, 03:52 PM I bought a Casio for my girlfriend back in November for around 240 dollars. This thing takes ridiculous great pictures, and I've got to say its ten million times better than my parents Nikon camera they spent 300 dollars on. It is one of the slim designs. Animal 03-10-2007, 04:15 PM My parents have a Canon S1IS. It takes good pictures, but the white balance is way off in some situations (i think WB is wired into the picture-mode thingy). The icons in the menu system are really cryptic as well. Sony's mid-range consumer models are nice, easy to use, and yield good results. Their videocameras are the same way. Low-end and no-name cameras usually oversaturate the colors to compensate for the cheap CCDs giving you fake-looking pictures. rodney87 03-10-2007, 06:58 PM Thanks guys, just what I needed to hear Tofuball 03-10-2007, 07:52 PM Only brand names I know are kodak, nikkon and canon.
