Flying shotgun in a small plane today was the most fun I've had in a good while! :D
A friend of mine has been taking flying lessons over the last year or so, and today was his first solo flight. Me and another friend of ours went out to see him and just watch. He took a few trips up with the instructor around 6:30 or so. After 3 touch and go takeoffs and landings, he took the plane up by himself. :)
Everything went smoothly and after he landed, his instructor asked me and Robby (my other friend there) if we wanted to go up in the plane! Of course we did..
He took us over my house, robby's house, spartanburg high school, and a lot of the east side. If you saw a small Cessna type plane around 7:15 tonight near the east side, it was us. :D We were flying frickin' LOW too.. 4 or 500 feet.
We looped all around my neighborhood and other areas near Hillcrest mall too. It was great! :D
btw, here are pics of Lee flying, and just random plane shots.

Learning to fly is something I've wanted to do for a long time.

shoot no.. This was the most exciting thing I'd done in a long time. I had flown a few times before (to texas and florida), but I hadn't ever flown in a little plane like this. The one in most of the pics I took (above) was the one I flew in.
The flight instructor said he has logged more hours in the air flying than he has driving a car.. I'm sure he was exaggerating, but he knew what he was doing to say the least. No worries w/ this guy.. :D :)

I went w/my dad when I was younger...probably about 10 or so. I still remember it, it was pretty cool. I think the guy did flips and turns for us and stuff...I wouldn't mind doing it again some day.
i took a boeing 777 to and from colorado and the acceleration was awesome taking off. ive been on some smaller personal jets but nothing that can do flips.
interesting fact: A lightly loaded 777 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 kilometers per hour) in less than six seconds.

Was it an RX-8?

i think it was some 30 year old cessna or something. Very 70's looking interior.
my white 88 GT had a porno-red interior straight out of the 70s.
yeah thats the factory color code name
