A friend of mine gave me this ls6 intake today for nothing.. He had it for about 6 months I guess - and has no car to put it on... He did get it legally though, but he didn't pay for it either. Now I gotta get some headers, a cam, and tuning.. :D It's hard to not mod when you get a free $500 mod!

6 months or more it sat in my friend's house - uninstalled. finally got it now though! :)
what came on a 01 vette ls1 intake or ls6?

ls6 intakes came on all '01 and up ls1 engines (vette, camaro, firebird)

How much hp & tq will you get out of it. Any noticeable gains.

just swapping intakes won't net much hp (especially without tuning)... I believe maybe 5 hp tops w/o tuning.
These intakes are best matched up with headers and a cam (or heads/cam). :D
If I did heads/cam/headers and kept my stock intake, I'd probably make 10 hp or so less than if I swapped to the Ls6 intake - with these same mods.

i always thought the 6 intakes were metal. when i saw one on a guys 01 vette i thought he was making it up. live and learn.
