I'm just curious of any of our new members have hybrid RX7s. I'd like to put together an FD with a stock LS(1-7) V8.

So if you've got one, let's see it. Post some pics of your hybrid monster to the rest of us can drool. Here's my 5.0 FC from a few months ago. :)

What *I'd* like to do is get another FC shell, get a V8 block from something that uses DOHC (maybe toyota's new 5.6 or soemthing), and THEN custom machine a flat-plane crankshaft and cams for it. Yes. Flat plane makes wonderful noises, and likes to spin fast too.

Once i finish school that is. And have lots of money to blow through.

LS1 weighs about the same right? Because of the aluminum block?

yes, about 27 lbs to be exact. so if you relocated the battery behind the seat and got stainless headers and it should be better if not just even.
