That's right, I'm in the police academy. I got a strait shot to the face and had to walk through a cloud of it the second time. I could handle the burning on my skin, it feels like the worst sunburn you can possibly imagine. But when it dripped in my eyes is when its the worst. It stings your eyes like there's no tomorrow, I couldn't open my eyes for about 15 min. And the effects not only last a good 45 min after that but every time you get wet for the rest of the day this shit re-activates and it hurts all over again. So Even though I only got shot in the face once, it's re-activated 5-6 times today.

I got sprayed in the eyes and mouth by a cop once back when I lived in Colorado.

No bueno what so ever.

At least you got hit with it at night, in the winter... When I got it a couple years ago it was mid-morning in July/August in Va. Solid stream right across my eyes (twice, the person spraying wasn't satisfied with the first one), I had it puddling there, stuck to my eye-lashes. Then I had to run a combat type O-course.

We were NOT allowed to rinse our faces for 20 min afterwards, had to run laps just to keep a slight breeze on it.


Use Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo, it will help. And DO NOT let water from your face drip to your cawk...! Use one towel to dry your face than throw that shit away from you, far away.

I'm not sure of the % but its about 1 million scovil units. I got the shot strait to the face from about 5 feet but it wasn't at night or in cool weather. I got shot at 1 pm in 80 degree heat with full sunlight. We had to walk a 1/2 mile coarse before we could get to the hose. I've already taken a nice hot, and long shower to get most of it off. Yeah, I'm not sure of the exact math for ppm or anything like that, we got hit with either 10% or 15% though. Was NOT fun. Re-qualling isn't that bad though.
