I think school becomes more tolerable as you get older. I've gone back a few times, seems a little more worth it when you are bettering yourself rather then being forced to go

I have a few doctors in my family. My stepfather is a dentist, which we all agree dental school is harder, because you have to work on one cadaver and not several like med school. They all talked me out of dental school...told me to go for computer science....now I have to deal with offshore idiots.

I had a friend growing up that lived next door who's dad was a neural surgeon. Dude had the sweetest house, but he was never home. On top of that, he had the nicest 88 limited (white) rx7 that never got drove.


I think my girlfriend would shit kittens if I said I was going for my Doctorate in CS.

I agree about schooling not relating to your actual job. I learned more in 6 months at my first job out of college then I did in the years that I was there. I think that in most professions, your ability to learn will help you excel rather then what grades you received. There is so much more that you learn out in the world then you ever could in a classroom studying about it.
