97240sx 03-09-2002, 10:21 PM I wondered if anyone knows when the Greddy turbo is going to come out for the 97 240. XS engineering has one that is like $4000 and gets like 270hp and 260tq at the flywheel. Anybody know anything about the Greddy in comparison? Uglymexican19 03-22-2002, 11:05 PM that would be awesome for your car! you would be able to beat stegalls! Stegall 03-23-2002, 02:10 AM Wait till I get my SR............................. hurleyboi514 03-23-2002, 09:56 AM </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Stegall @ Mar. 23 2002,03:10)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Wait till I get my SR.............................</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> me tooo!!! <img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> (i thought u were doing the VG swap instead?) 97240sx 03-23-2002, 11:19 PM What sr20 are you getting. The most powerful one has like 220 hp. With the XS engineering turbo itll give a 240sx 228hp, at the rear wheels. So this will def be faster than an sr20 without any other mods. Let me know when you get it though. Later Uglymexican19 03-24-2002, 09:51 PM dang! thats gonna be speedy gonsalez fast allen!!!!!!! StockForNow 03-25-2002, 02:44 PM But the sr20 is built for turbo - low compression. And his stock sr20 will probably hang with a turbo'd ka24? Does the s14 have the 2.4 dohc? I think so. ANyway. Both cost mula. There is a 240 somewhere in Spartanburg or G-ville that is turbo'd. Hes got a garret t3/t04e hybrid I believe and a S-afc for tuning the a/f ratio. Punter 03-25-2002, 04:02 PM If you turbo an engine the right way you should lower the compression ratio anyway, what it all comes down to is that it's all a matter of money. Any engine with enough money put into it can be better than another given engine. StockForNow 03-25-2002, 09:26 PM Very true. Some thicker Head Gaskets would lower the compression on the stock us spec 240. Uglymexican19 03-25-2002, 09:33 PM money, cash, ho(beep), money, cash, ho(beep)... whaaa!! is all about them dollas! |
