FLT AndrewPaugh 06-27-2002, 03:35 PM First of all, I'd like to thank Chris (I believe that's your name) for fixing my permissions. *Sorry about that man. *I couldn't get those other names to activate from that automatic email response.
Anyway, I want to introduce myself to all of you at Spartanburg Racing. *My name's Andrew Paugh, and I'm a Finance student at Clemson and President of Fast Lane Tuning Inc. *I was recommended this site by a friend of mine at school. *Basically, I'm spending this summer, while on my last Mechanical Engineering Co-op, learning everything I can about the import market and certain cars so that I can meet a lot of new people in the Clemson area. *This will also help me do a little market research as I work with my Vice-President on our product list for our online store this fall.
Those of you that are from Clemson, let me know you're on this forum, and let me know what you drive too... *(That's usually how I remember people's names, by the car they drive). *Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys what I drive. *I sold my '95 Olds Aurora this summer and bought a black Mitsu Lancer. *I knew how slow the car was when I bought it, so you guys don't have to remind me of it's horsepower curve. * * I bought it because it's cheap transportation that I can afford, it had zero miles when I bought it, and it's not as common as a Civic. *As I come across more discretionary income, I'll be doing various upgrades. *The whole project will probably involve an intercooled turbo, LSD, exhaust, brakes, rims, body kit, racing seats, DVD, etc etc etc... *Basically I want to finish the project before I graduate so that it can be my daily driver when I buy a new project after I get my degree.
Anyway, I just thought I'd make a post to say hello to everyone. *I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys! *Y'all have a good day!

BlueCalx 06-27-2002, 04:45 PM Hey.. I graduated from Clemson last August, and you might have seen me or my car at various autocrosses during the last two years (although I haven't actually participated). Anyhoo, nice to have you here.

Stegall 06-27-2002, 08:28 PM Whats up man ? Good to see ya on the boards.
Want to make money in the Import market ?
Start importing JDM engines.
like, uh, *cough cough* SR20det's
If you like you can use my car as a test build up for one ... hehe
Ne ways, on a more serious note, glad to see ya on the board, and look foward to meeting you in person at some point.
p.s. Do u live in clemson over the summer too ?
Im chris, Welcome to the board. Im in Clemson a lot. In fact I own the CSCC's old car they couldnt get running. 87 Turbo II. I also have another car but its nothing interesting.
FLT AndrewPaugh 06-28-2002, 02:27 PM Stegall, what's up man? *We actually thought about doing JDM engines earlier this spring. *Problem is that we don't have the money for the initial investment, plus we're not planning on diving into the deep end while still in school. *It's just a little thing my partner and I are doing to make a little spending cash on the side for now. *I originally started out this summer looking for a used Integra... *I was gonna do a bunch of JDM stuff to that, engine and all. *But FLT WILL be offering a lot of non-engine JDM stuff this fall... like headlights, taillights, misc. body parts, etc. *I'll keep you updated. *No, I'm not in Clemson this summer. *I'm doing my last Mechanical Engineering co-op in Cleveland (middle of nowhere) Georgia. *I hope this will be the last semester I spend away from Clemson, but we'll see.
Chris, that's awesome that you bought the club car. *I never got to see it, but I heard it would have been awesome if they had ever got it running. *Have you been able to accomplish that?
BlueCal, I'm not sure whether or not I've ever met you... *I think I've seen some posts of yours on "the boards", but then again that might not have been you. *I can understand why you haven't raced your car at CSCC autocrosses... *Personally, 'till I put a turbo on my car, I'm planning on racing the club car at every CSCC autocross. *They've got a CRX that will be race ready this fall, I believe. *That should be a fun little car to race.
