Exactly... I just brought a set of connectors and they were bootlegs. I requested a refund (for him to send the money back first) and he disagreed. So now i'll have to risk it and send him the connectors back so he can pay me back. He also made a deadline and said i have to send them back by friday or else he'll give me an "appropriate feedback".

I've had better luck with ebay than forums. Regardless they're both kind of a leap of faith.

I've always had good luck with ebay.

I have had sellers that didn't respond to my emails, or where slow to ship etc.
But I've never had things not show up at all or turn out to not be what I was expecting.

If it could all be that easy. I currenty have a guy threatening to burn my house down and eat my dog over a shitty car deal in the local paper.....

I never even bother with eBay. I sell all my shit on Craigslist. There's something about meeting in person that tends to ward off the scammers. I bought my car on Craigslist, and I just bought a $1200 hardtop for it on CL too.

I just brought a North Face Steep Tech Apogee jacket for 211 shipped with insurance (original price was 350+). Looks authentic (and the seller guarantees it). Well i paid for it on Monday and didn't get a tracking email (i brought tracking and insurance from paypal) till Wednesday morning. The "tracking" number was sent by paypal. I expected at least an email from the seller after i paid for it and emailed him after i paid through paypal... Nothing. The tracking number i got from paypal isn't working but i'll wait a few more hours since it takes a while to get the tracking number functional.

So you must do a lot of backpacking, right?

+1 for craigslist. Lots of good stuff on there for cheap too, and you don't have to deal with shipping and all that shit.

Until you get some asshole who wants to meet you at a bus station or some place where people are coming and going for hours straight.... yeah, that's a great spot to try and find someone. Dickface.
