The thing is, for example, the $1,050 fine... $350 goes to the courts, then 2 payments of $350 to DMV... that's right, DMV gets 2/3 of all of the new civil fines. I'm okay with heavy penalties for DUI... but even for reckless driving (speeding 20mph, or even crossing a double yellow line in the country where you can see)... shit is ridiculous.

Children up to 8 years old have to ride in child seats now... and teenagers can't talk on cell phones, only adults... wtf?

Apparently here in MO you can be ticketed for an open container if you're sitting on your front porch drinking. Or even in your backyard if neighbors can see you. WTF?

I also see about 1 cop car every mile in the evenings, especially Friday and Saturday. It's ri-goddamned-diculous.

My dad lives in DC and got cited for wreckless driving for going 85 through that state last year.
