In the never ending series of tests to become a cop in this state I've got a police polygraph test tomorrow morning at 8 am. I was told it should take about 4 hours. I cant shake the feeling that the guy is gonna throw in some curveball question to mess with me. So, wish me luck :bigthumb:

Not using VSA huh? I thought everyone had ditched the Polygraph by now.

Good luck. Check out Forums.Officer.Com. I'm in the same boat. Between you and I, the guy may try and say you are lying on a question you were completely honest on to try and have you second guess. Realize this. For instance, John Doe was of Middle Eastern decent. The last question the Polygrapher asked in a set was "Are you a terrorist or have you financed terrorism"? Well of course John Doe firmly answered no and the Polygrapher told him to get out of there as he was lying blah blah blah. John Doe had to plead his case even though after the fact, the Polygrapher told him he knew he wasn't lying but was trying to trip him up purposely.

If you commited a felony you're fucked anyway, they're gonna have your sheet well before your interview.

lol alright good. And Rodney, if you have anything you are unsure about, you may want to discuss it with the Polygrapher before hand so as not to cause any confusion. Make sure you have a good breakfast, but try to avoid orange juice or other citric acid as it will cause a slight heart rate elevation which may cause false positives. As gay as it sounds, you may want to powder off too before going in so as to not have any moisture which may also cause a false positive.

Oh absolutely if you were convicted. They may DQ you for just committing one, but never formally being charged too.

good luck, you will do well! Even if they are curveball questions, polygraphs are 99% accurate, don't sweat it!

Not everyone can work for Bank of America making 6 figures.

I'm back, and I wasn't arrested on the spot, thanks for the confidence :)

I passed, or at least the guy said I did. I couldn't shake the feeling he was trying to trip me up the whole time. And as he was unhooking me from the machine he asked:

"Ok, all done. How do you think you did?"

"Pretty good"

"PRETTY good huh? what'd you lie about?"

"what? nothing..."

"ah, so how do you think you did?"

"exellent"

"ah, ok"

I dont think the thing would have worked much if I was lieing anyways. that damn arm cuff was turning my hand purple and the only think I could think was "ow ow ow ow ow"

2ndGen.Rocket

Bank of America has like 20,000 employees. I have nothing to do with the credit card division. Honestly, I don't even know where the hell it is, Greensboro NC maybe? If that's the case, good luck haggling with Latesha over your bill, she's busy doing her nails.

ahh I should just pay it off anyway

2ndGen.Rocket

Yeah that would probably be best. I'd like to see us stop losing money and I've got to pay off this new Audi.
