so i installed a 2-way and the backlash is incorrect with the stock shims, which is not particularly surprising.
now i'm trying to find a good transmission / machine / etc. shop that can set backlash correctly. nobody local seems to know of any particularly good shop, and just about every local shop has some complaint against them on BBB or ripofreport.com.
in fact, now that i think about it, it's probable that every shop ever will have complaints against it since people don't know shit about cars and feel like they are getting ripped off on anything and everything car related.
how do you find good a shop?

Me? Talk to mechanics, ask where they take THEIR cars :P
Theres a shop around here that I took my diff to . . . now I just do all my diff stuff myself, but they're good, expensive tho.

Per an old PM on RX7Club from GoodFellaFD3S: "The ex-head mechanic of Gotham lives in Clifton NJ and we work out of his garage on weekends." Meh, I have a name and number if you want. I thought it was an actual Gotham shop though. Sorry.
