Nothing beats fresh garlic, nothing. Tom 08-15-2005, 10:13 PM ..or use nothing at all. Lightly pat the hamburger into nice 1/4-1/2 pound patties (don't squish them). Place directly on a hot grill, flip them ONLY ONCE and try not to press them with a spatula. Add cheese like real cheddar or hunks of swiss during the last 2-3 minutes with the lid closed.. Then dress them up on nice big Kaiser buns slathered with a little mayo mixed with fresh horseradish, topped with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato and thinly sliced or minced garlic (just a tad). Sprinkle fresh ground pepper over the whole she-bang and voila! You have a perfect, fresh, juicy burger.
