Better Mexican beer = Dos Equis Ámbar. It's cheaper than Corona, and since it comes in brown bottles, you don't get that skunk-ass lightstruck smell.

If you get a pack in a cardboard box, that hasn't been exposed to light, then no it doesn't make a difference.

Sadly, most of the clear/green bottle beers I see on store shelves are under bright light. A few days under light will cause hop oils to spoil, due to UV exposure. Hop oils break down = skunky smell of death.

Brown bottles block most UV light, so they stay fresh longer. Most of the beer I buy comes in brown bottles, and if I get a green bottle beer (like Yuengling), I only get 12 packs in sealed boxes.

Guiness draught in a bottle (with retarded nitrogen widget) is not very good at all. Hell, most of the Guiness I get on tap in bars is pretty shitty too. Pretty weak for a "stout" beer. Guiness in the US is actually made in canada, so while it technically is imported, it's not from Ireland, where the real St. James Gate Brewery is located.

However, if I was presented with the choice of Guiness or Corona, I'd take the Guiness without a second thought.
