1: Lol@the fd "just a souped up miata"... obviously if the guy had purchased aftermarket wheels with weight, etc in mind versus huge and for looks, and he's older.... i'd assume it's packing a little heat. The fd is probably in the top 5 of sports cars performance that retailed under $50,000, and #1 in looks.

2: I think the guy deserved to be highly pissed at the idiot... losing it at like that and having no self control... not healthy. However, the moron in the lincoln did hit a parked car whose brake lights were on. Furthermore, the guy in the lincoln shouldn't NEVER even been going HALF as fast as he was going in traffic like that. Anyone that's ever been to ANY "cruise in" knows you creep at 10mph.... ffs, even if you hadn't, you'd assume you would, especially around ricers who are infamous for acting like complete retards.

I just hope the lincoln had insurance and the fd guy gets his $$$ back... If anyone had spent time, money, sweat, money, blood, money, tears, money into building a car and had it potentially ruined because someone was acting like a complete dumbass and it wasn't your fault at all.... i think anyone would have the right to be pissed. What if the guy had his children or wife in the car and he would've hit the side instead of the back?

The road has a 25mph speed limit. It's a road near a dragstrip in jersey. Too bad the FD owner won't get anywhere near the amount of what the FD is worth.

I am so paranoid of someone doing that exact same thing to me. People in general are fucking stupid and over half of the people on the road should never have gotten their drivers licences in the first place. All in all, I think the guy in the FD acted with great restraint. I would have a very hard time keeping myself from beating that dumb ass into a greasy puddle right there in the middle of the street.

Pamela was struck in the rear bumper by some kid who'd had his license for a little over one week. I'd stopped to make a left turn and he was too busy fiddling with his stereo or something to notice. Bam! New rear bumper, new paint on the back half of the car.

About 6 days after I get it back from the body shop, I was in the grocery store when I got called to the customer service desk. Some chick was teaching her friend - a teenage girl who was an employee of the store - how to drive and the teen had rearended my recently repaired car! They had attempted to flee the scene on the instructions of the passenger/teacher, but the girl driving thought better of it since her co-workers knew it was her. Witnesses dragged them inside to the customer service desk. The passenger started yelling that she was a lawyer and I'd better not "try anything". We went out to look at the damage - the paint on the bumper had cracked, a tail light was shattered, and the bumper struts were slightly out of alignment. Passenger bitch sniffed that that was "already there" (how the fuck would she know? If they saw my car in that detail, they wouldn't have hit it) until I pulled out the work chit from the glovebox and showed that the whole back of the car had just been redone.

So, back through the same insurance adjuster, back to the bodyshop, and again new bumper, paint, and now a tail light.

Sheesh.

ironically, that's the one thing that survived the rollover unscathed. I transferred the new bumper and tail light to the replacement GSL-SE
