Cosby 07-17-2007, 12:19 PM Thats a lot of useless trash. Say No To Pistons 07-17-2007, 01:54 PM Buy junk metal + sell junk metal = profit. 2ndGen.Rocket 07-17-2007, 04:42 PM Not worth it. You're basically buying a junkyard. Half of that shit is useless, no one is buying rusted out blocks for their cars. Not to mention the amount of time and effort required to actually sort through all of that shit and resell it would be astronomical. I could throw that mil and a half in a bunch of different funds and make just as much money by sitting on my ass. cool_as_crap 07-17-2007, 04:47 PM Sorting through it all would be the fun part. I'd buy it Say No To Pistons 07-17-2007, 05:11 PM All that junk metal, i wonder how much the metal is worth. Supper 07-17-2007, 07:21 PM All that junk metal, i wonder how much the metal is worth. the problem with that idea is that to get premium prices for scrap metal it needs to be in three foot lengths or shorter. To get all of that metal down into three foot lengths... yeah, have fun with a chop saw. Not to mention you would have to pull everything apart and make sure you have the metal separated, you don't get very good prices for mixed loads. Etc etc. I'm with 2ndGen on this one. Terrh 07-20-2007, 09:55 PM a million and a half is a little high maybe. but really, who'd spend even a million dollars without going there and having a look first. There is quite a bit of value there, the right person could make a fortune. $100T2 07-21-2007, 08:11 AM Bottom line, if it's worth "so much more than 1.5M", why isn't this guy doing it himself? "Gee, let me sell off $10M in parts for 15% of what it's really worth and short-change myself..." Yeah. w00t 07-21-2007, 08:13 AM Holy shit that's a lot of crap! jhammons01 07-21-2007, 09:29 AM Yes, but you would have to be the one restoring all those cars to showroom condition. Chip Foose? $100T2 07-21-2007, 04:16 PM I mean, the cars are kinda cool, and it'd be neat to own all those parts, but really. IaMtHeRuThLeSs1 07-25-2007, 09:02 PM heh... I could see someone makin some decent cash on it. Hire a couple of teenager car nuts for $9/hr to sort through it, log it, put it up on ebay for cheap. Palumbo 07-26-2007, 06:30 AM I like the red stingray on the very last picture. But really, Id rather sleep on my 1.5 million one dollar bills. Pele 07-26-2007, 06:56 AM It'd be worth something... Not over a mill, but something... Also considering that there's a good deal of property there with a house... Mainly the logistics of sorting it makes it unworthy of the million. Definitely not ALL trash. Although I bet there's a good deal of shit there that just can not be salvaged. |
