preludedude 06-12-2003, 10:20 PM We all would like to thank Cody for having a shoot-out in his 96GT.
Overall-
1st place- Chris Osbourne- 9.45
2nd place- Allen Stegall- 9.5?
3rd place- Mark Smith (me)- 9.70
4th place- Robert- 9.8?
5th place- Cody-9.83?
How is the owner the worst driver? Kiddin'!!
Seriously, thanks Cody. Ive never raced a manual at all, but my very first run was a 9.70. Damn good for a beginner. I just need to work on my 5spd swap one day.
We are now looking for more donations for vehicles to have shoot-outs in. My first candidate is Robert.:D He will have to be :40oz: before that will happen!!
Again, thanks Cody. You're a cool guy. And if you ever want someone else to drive the hell out of your car, let me know.

BlueCalx 06-12-2003, 10:27 PM Yeah - thanks for letting me get a couple runs out of the car Cody.. I wish I had seen you to say hi or something. :)
Cosby 06-12-2003, 10:29 PM yeah thanks... Im expecting my $30 from all of you :) I think your times are a bit off marky but its close enough I guess. I nominate my car.
Stegall 06-13-2003, 12:15 AM yeah thanks cody.
brings back old mems.
Earler today i told chris " Man i hope no one breaks codys car... "
I get in... first run whoops, there goes teh clutch cable.. lol sorry bout that.
my 2nd run was a 9.59. i didnt like how the clutch was engaging i forgot to tell you its fully adjustable. im bidding on a powerdyne bd-11 so maybe it will run 8s if i win it :)
Cosby 06-13-2003, 12:47 PM Can my prize be mark not mispelling my name? :bash:
you can have the rear tires. they hook better than slicks :)

oops...sorry.....chris, you said you want your car to be a candidate for shoot-outs? let us do it...just give us all 1 run a piece...so, itll only have like 5 runs on it, not 20 like Codys. :D
I think Allen took advantage of most of those 20.

ps. WE WILL PUT MONEY IN A POT ALSO, AND WINNER GETS ALL OF IT.
not as fair in his car he can cut the boost down and take the money. roberts car would be a little bit easier :)
Cosby 06-13-2003, 03:40 PM not to mention the faster the car the less consistent it will run
preludedude 06-13-2003, 03:47 PM so, are we gonna be able to do it? 1 run a person...$5 to enter..:D
Mark

hell, make it $10 to enter..
Cosby 06-13-2003, 04:51 PM after I get the rear end rebuilt and its tuned
BlueCalx 06-13-2003, 05:16 PM like chris said, the faster the car, the less consistent times it will run. - especially w/ different drivers.
I vote on us all driving Mark's car for the cash :)
Rob
Ill put 50$ on the 5hp dragster -vs- marks car.
preludedude 06-13-2003, 09:24 PM ahh....thats f*cked up.....yall aint driving my car...it is so awfully slow, it makes me feel bad...but what can you do....auto, 4cyc...:( ...maybe when i get the 5spd put in, itll hit a very high 9 if i can hook it...i know the car has it in it...
and for the dragster vs. prelude, eat a d*ck cody!!! i would beat it if i had no toolbox in the trunk, full tank of gas, and advanced timing..:D
I ran 10.45 once, and 10.50 consistently right b4 it blew up, and that was going down the track with a rod knocking like crazy..

preludedude 06-13-2003, 09:26 PM oh yeah, and robert, my car would be boring if we had a shootout in it, since it is auto..
no challenge there.... everyone would run like the same time, cause my car is VERY consistent.
but seeing as how you have the only 6spd on the board, be a sport and let us get a run in...buddy:rolleyes: ?

Chipster 06-14-2003, 08:31 AM im thinking about taking the miata to the 1/8th....
i know it really doesn't belong at a drag strip but It would be fun to do!
Cosby 06-14-2003, 11:22 AM yeah its always fun to go to the drag strip... its good to practice when you have a slow car because when you make it fast you'll be able to get a better time and stuff
