Let me know if anyone comes across something for sale. I thought about getting a beater/cheap car, but I'd probably turn around and sell it in 2 weeks. So here are some ideas, but feel free to throw out more if you can think of other cars.

Looking for:
Mazda Mx-6 GT
Mazda 323 GTX
92-96 300zx (preferably <100k)
97+ 240sx SE (really don't want to hop on the bandwagon)
Early 90's eagle talon tsi awd (probably would break)

You'll notice the only fwd car on the list is the Mx-6. I would prefer something rwd or awd if possible. I will not buy a honda or an acura.

This will be a car to get me through the end of college, then next year (or soon thereafter) I can get something really nice.

good luck finding a 323 gtx. rare as crap

I almost bought a 323 gtx.... AWESOME cars. I was going to drive to ohio to buy it from a guy that rallies them. Along the same lines as the 323 gtx is the celica alltrac... might want to look at that too although its as rare if not more

i kinda like the 300zx but those are expensive at some extent. cuz i'll look for some 300zx's if u want me to, do you want a N/A or turbo one. just tell me and i'll search for one.

I found a nice 95 talon tsi i want. I doubt he will trade me the 88 LX, the charger and extra money but its a really nice car. Im guessing it will go for 8k tho.

Well this is lovely, this is me telling a friend about what happened today. These people drove all the way from Missourri to get the car. Yesterday I had pulled the "brake" and "charge" bulbs b/c they were on all the time and annoying to look it. Apparently the "charge" bulb needs to be there to complete a circuit.

AspenRS01: what a damn mess
AspenRS01: I leave here to put gas in the car before they get here
AspenRS01: pull out of the driveway, rpm needle goes to zero
AspenRS01: radio shuts off
AspenRS01: radar detector starts making all kinds of noises and saying weird stuff
AspenRS01: then I get 20 feet from the gas station and it starts chugging
AspenRS01: running like *crap*
AspenRS01: I go to recrank it after people have moved from the pumps
AspenRS01: nothing
AspenRS01: it's dead
AspenRS01: so I call them and tell them I'm stuck at the gas station
AspenRS01: which looks really good to a car buyer
AspenRS01: so I borrow a screwdriver from the attendant and take the cluster out
AspenRS01: put the charge and brake bulbs back in
AspenRS01: jump it off, it runs fine
AspenRS01: they are afraid to drive it back 11 hours
AspenRS01: so they leave
AspenRS01: the kid wanted the car
AspenRS01: wants to ship it after he's talked to a subaru mechanic Missourri
AspenRS01: that's the first time it's ever done that
AspenRS01: apparently the charge bulb needs to be in there to complete a circuit or something
AspenRS01: b/c it killed the battery
AspenRS01: they were russian
AspenRS01: talking in russian
AspenRS01: probably cussing me out
AspenRS01: I didn't know, I explained it just did it
AspenRS01: and apologized
AspenRS01: the kid said they believed me but I don't know if they did or not

Ok, so my question is: If he decides he doesn't want the car or I decide I don't want to sell it after all this.........is there a way to not have to pay the ebay charges for a sold item? I know I have to pay the listing fee regardless. Or do I just have to suck it up and pay?

So who knows if I'm getting something else or not. What a crappy day.

He decided he's just going to build his own. So the TurdBurglar will live to see another day. I had tried to sell it b/c the tranny needs to be rebuilt and it's a gas hog.

I'll have the money over the summer to get the tranny rebuilt. I might see about getting a stock gearset cryo-treated. The one-two shift is the killer.

I dream to have the fastest import. I think mandeville will be my greatest competition but the good thing is that they never have a car there too long and don't have any sponsored cars.
