Vert8813B 12-28-2007, 12:14 PM Then repairing them and selling them for a nice markup for profit. Thoughts? Edit: I also meant to say 'buying' in the thread title. :) Caseycopyrighted 12-28-2007, 03:52 PM I have a friend who fixes them, he said it's really easy. I'm never touching any hardware though >.>; Vert8813B 12-28-2007, 05:51 PM I'm down for anything to help make some extra cash. Caseycopyrighted 12-29-2007, 06:57 AM ^.^; Well, as long as you can actually fix them, go ahead. Cosby 12-29-2007, 10:37 AM be careful youre not buying them from someone that has already determined theyre not worth repairing. Vert8813B 12-29-2007, 11:12 AM Yeah that's the only thing that worries me. I was reading that normally if you just rethermal paste the heatsink to the GPU, it usually works, but some people get the RRoD and try this and it still doesn't work. Eatmyclutch 12-29-2007, 07:16 PM How much do you plan on buying and reselling for? Will it even be worth the time and energy? Vert8813B 12-30-2007, 10:16 AM Well I would like to buy em for 80 bucks, spend like 5 bucks on thermal paste and maybe an hour to fix them. Then try and sell them for 150 or so. |
