I've got 69 FULL LENGTH CDs on one DVD. How fucking cool is that? I don't even know where to begin on the level of coolness.

$100T2 09-23-2007, 09:17 PM I had bought a DVD capable head unit about a year ago for the T2, but never installed it... I put it into the 'vert today, and burned my first MP3 formatted DVD for it. I've got 69 FULL LENGTH CDs on one DVD. How fucking cool is that? I don't even know where to begin on the level of coolness. rtryb2200 09-23-2007, 10:28 PM Pretty impressive, never have to switch discs again pics? Manntis 09-23-2007, 10:46 PM not bad. My system holds 120 GB + USB, CD, or DVD input for more, but I had to install a mobo, monitor, cabling, etc. wotnartd 09-23-2007, 11:07 PM I have to go take a pic of my awesome setup... brb wotnartd 09-23-2007, 11:17 PM http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o304/wotnartd/IMG_4084.jpg I love pop-up lights 09-23-2007, 11:57 PM lucky! I have a gaping hole with butchered wires where my stereo should be, I have a stock stereo sitting in my room but I no longer have the stock connections in my car :( wotnartd 09-24-2007, 12:06 AM Well... that's why I make the big bucks. My tuner doesn't tune though, I have to use the preset buttons to jump the dial around. It takes practice. Back to the topic at hand, Manntis and $100T2, I'd really like to see both of your setups. Eatmyclutch 09-24-2007, 01:02 AM You guy sstill have those radio thingys in your RX-7? haha wotnartd 09-24-2007, 01:09 AM You guy sstill have those radio thingys in your RX-7? haha Don't plan on track prepping this bad boy. Thought about the FC, but it is a death trap. The graphic equalizer is the best thing ever. I'm in love with it. I do plan on upgrading the speakers, but the stereo and amp are actually quite good. In the timeless words of Paris Hilton, "That's hot." Was this some sort of kit, or did you make it all yourself? I'd really like a little more info on it. What year FB was this in? In my 84, I've got a little slider for the vent controls, not the buttons. (quoted pics removed to save thread space) Manntis 09-24-2007, 01:29 AM It's components, but MCS supplied it all in one box. Basic computer setup (as in physical plug-n-play, setting a few things in the software skin, nothing scary) was required. As oyu can see, the vent controls weren't moved. Mine is an SE, but the setup will work in any '84-'85. I did trim the 2mm lip around the stereo opening - that's the only mod to the dash itself. The DVD drive is secured to the top of the glove box with a scrap piece of metal strapping. rx-7_Z06 09-24-2007, 01:31 AM Thats a good setup Manntis. Me rikey. wotnartd 09-24-2007, 01:37 AM What about OS? I'm a stereo/pc geek in the utmost. After that whole senior picture thing that seems to be almost legend... yeah, I love them. Manntis 09-24-2007, 01:46 AM OS is WinXP Lite. More info here: http://www.drivingchange.net/galleries.php?sub=carputer wotnartd 09-24-2007, 02:19 AM Dude, that's frigging sweet. Vert8813B 09-24-2007, 11:45 AM Manntis was listening to All American Rejects...this deserves a ban. wotnartd 09-24-2007, 01:09 PM Manntis was listening to All American Rejects...this deserves a ban. Can he ban himself? Vert8813B 09-24-2007, 01:10 PM He should for a day. Manntis 09-24-2007, 01:11 PM At least it wasn't Honeymoon Suite. wotnartd 09-24-2007, 01:20 PM At least it wasn't Honeymoon Suite. It should have been Lawrence Welk... Vert8813B 09-24-2007, 01:23 PM Butthole Surfers FTW! Manntis 09-24-2007, 01:43 PM Well - I like that song. I was thinking of shooting a Star Wars fan film of life on Tatooine, from the Imperial perspective, using that song as the sound track. Get it? Storm troopers... Move Along... *crickets* Ah, whaddya know from funny ya bastards. $100T2 09-24-2007, 08:38 PM Manntis was listening to All American Rejects...this deserves a ban. He's from Canada, maybe he thinks All Americans (Are) Rejects... DarkAngelKamui 09-24-2007, 10:19 PM Wouldn't be that far from the truth, really... lol No, I kid... It's only a very large number... :D jhammons01 09-24-2007, 11:34 PM Can a person post in this thread if he is Not a mod? Vert8813B 09-25-2007, 06:11 AM Yes. A person can. wotnartd 09-25-2007, 06:24 AM Can a person post in this thread if he is Not a mod? I r not a m0d yet Richter12x2 10-04-2007, 09:34 AM I've got 69 FULL LENGTH CDs on one DVD. How fucking cool is that? I don't even know where to begin on the level of coolness. It's awesome, but there's a downside, too. Just wait until you try to find that ONE SONG you want to hear. :D bananna 11-09-2007, 12:38 PM Never liked the in dash screens personally. |
