so i know itunes is a piece of shit, but i need it to sync my ipod, there are other programs to do it, but the album art in the ID3 tags dont get exported to my ipod

i imported my winamp playlist and only abt 2400 songs gets copied, even though theres ~3100 songs on that playlist

anyone know why?

you have to check "sync artwork" or something to that effect in prefs before the artwork will go to iPod.

how did you "import the playlist"?

File > Import > winamp.m3u (thats the playlist name)

itunes export the album art, i was refering to other programs like winamp's ipod plug in that doesnt do it right

hrm, dunno then. I'd suggest dragging/dropping in the files (or enclosing folders) with the MP3s in it rather than going through the playlist import.

Album art on the iPod is just retarded anyway. Bogs down the software to the point of annoyance on anything bigger then 30gig.

still doesnt transfer all the files, and i cant do it folder by folder because everything is seperated into artsit and album and disc number

uhm, I can drag in my entire "MP3" folder and it'll find everything.

Unless it's a remote volume, server running windows.... I had tons of problems with it skipping about half the songs when I did that. That was a weird problem, the iTunes engineers had never heard of it. I spent about 90mins in a conference call with an Apple tech and an iTunes engineer about that problem.

could be a permissions problem... Try resetting the owner maybe
