Xcortech 3200, ordered it from RSOV in Hong Kong. 102 bucks shipped. Pretty tight chrono in comparison to the rest on the market, measures FPS/MPS, Rate of Fire and is adjustable for different size/weight BB's. Good stuff.

Its being funded by money Im making selling Full Auto conversion manuals on Ebay. Basically pure profit. Worse thing that happens it doesnt take off and me and my buddies have a shitload of Airsoft rifles to play with and I have no "hard earned" money out.

Hey I dont agree with the pricing but they wouldnt sell them if people didnt buy them.

Heres one for 925.00, ridiculous when you can build a far superior weapon for less than half.

Yah I gathered that. :)

I was trying to say that I understand its ridiculous the price of some of these rifles compared to real weapons.

I suppose it's a fun hobby, though. Paintball guns can cost just as much...

It is, some of these guns have an insane rate of fire to the point that the BBs resemble a straight line coming from the barrel. Tons of mods from better batteries to motors, springs, air pistons, barrels, hop-ups.

Let me know if you end up wanting one, Im ordering a few SCAR rifles next month that are sick. :bigthumb:

For some reason, I don't think my friends would enjoy me shooting them in the head with a $1000+ air toy.

I work with this guy named Adam at Novurania, hes a welder that builds the shipping racks for the yacht tenders I build. Everytime I get a new gun I take it to work and catch him at lunch, dump a full mag on him full auto. He loves it, especially the time he tried to chase me down and slipped and fell into the side of a truck. Luckily his head stopped him from severely hurting himself.

Good times!

Will it measure the FPS of real bullets ?

Fatmike
07-14-2008, 03:08 AM
well whats the muzzle velocity of a regular gun compared to an airsoft gun. you are looking at like maybe 600fps max on a HIGH powered airsoft. so i doubt that chrono goes much higher. but who knows

91lx

36 grain .223 shows 3,750fps.
55 grain is more common, its 3,240fps.

Steel
07-14-2008, 09:37 PM
3750fps is stupid fast no matter how you slice it... sounds like the barrel won't last TOO long there... but i could be wrong.

Anyway, what's the point of adjusting for the BB's different weights? Does it give you an energy readout or something? Just so you know how much pain you are inflicting on the poor bastards?

Fatmike
07-15-2008, 01:35 PM
you change the weight of the BBs depending on how strong the gun is. The weight of the BB directly effects how the BB is gonna fly. If you have a cheap spring gun then you most likely wanna use something like a .12g or maybe a .16g BB. With a stronger gun you wanna use at least a .20g and heavier

we just airsofted the other night. thought i would show you a pic of some damage my friend took from my G&G GR16 Carbine at about 50-60ft away. This was not an intentional shot by the way. heated firefight in full auto

the rifle is the one that did the damage

Well i realize that, but what does it have to do with inputting the weight into the chronograph?

oooooh ok i get what you are driving at. i honestly dont know why the chrono has settings for it.
