Vert8813B 11-13-2008, 07:45 AM Gas tax FTL. rxtasy 11-13-2008, 10:40 AM 1.92 or cheaper is SC ingles off 29 on west side is $1.90. dg123 11-13-2008, 03:39 PM Or demand is low. And speculators aren't buying up oil futures because the cost is only going to go up (see mortgage meltdown). Now that everyone is selling off their futures, oil prices began declining. wotnartd 11-13-2008, 03:41 PM $2.09 Misty Rayne 11-13-2008, 03:47 PM we are paying $1.24 a litre (not suree what that compares to as a gallon) and it's the cheapest it's been in 2 years 2ndGen.Rocket 11-13-2008, 03:53 PM George Bush has nothing to do with the price of gas. Please dispell that notion from all of your brains. Vert8813B 11-13-2008, 04:52 PM we are paying $1.24 a litre (not suree what that compares to as a gallon) and it's the cheapest it's been in 2 years A litre and a quart are fairly equivalent (I think a litre is 30 ounces and a quart is 32 iirc) and there are 4 quarts in a gallon (128 fl oz). So you pay probably around 5 Aussie bucks a gallon. Had to know conversions A. Living in West NY by Canada and B. Working in restaurants. Tofuball 11-13-2008, 05:56 PM George Bush has nothing to do with the price of gas. Please dispell that notion from all of your brains. Sure he does, he could pass out an executive order (blegh) and say all oil companies are now state property. Maybe he's just waiting for Obama to do that. Yay socialists! * Goes back to building a bomb shelter * 95whitepep 11-13-2008, 09:34 PM just an update...its now 1.89 at the Albertsons by my house. rtryb2200 11-13-2008, 10:12 PM 1.85 in St Paul, MN Vert8813B 11-13-2008, 10:55 PM A nickel in Tehran, Iran. Beat that shit, fuckers. Teenwolf1393 11-14-2008, 12:12 AM ^really we should be paying the same price for gas as they do in iraq. us "fixing" your government aint cheap. just my opinion rxtasy 11-14-2008, 06:45 AM ingles off 29 on west side is $1.90. it's down to $1.87 this morning. oakback 11-14-2008, 08:49 AM 2.09 is the cheapest I've seen lately, I'm sure it's on the way down though. Vert8813B 11-14-2008, 08:58 AM Think we'll ever see it at 89 cents a gallon (cheapest I remember it in my area. probably was even cheaper for you guys outside the heavily taxed state of NY) again? I highly doubted it a few months ago, but the drop doesn't seem to be losing any steam. aznpoopy 11-14-2008, 09:06 AM it's under two dollars out here in jersey as well Vert8813B 11-14-2008, 09:09 AM wtf...it's still 2.30 something here. :( Fendamonky 11-14-2008, 12:19 PM still $3.05 here... 95whitepep 11-14-2008, 01:34 PM gasbuddy.com Steel 11-14-2008, 01:36 PM 2.20 last night. Goddamn, I should have held off on my cross country drive. 95whitepep 11-16-2008, 12:35 PM I just paid 1.779 at costco this morning.... glad to see this dropping still! Steel 11-16-2008, 01:48 PM Watch now as all this talk of alternative energies and such goes away, and people start buying big trucks and SUV's again. Then when we have another gas crunch, which will most likely be worse, they'll all be bitching and moaning and yelling to DO SOMETHING! People as a whole are idiots. The time to act is now. czarofzar 11-16-2008, 02:00 PM People as a whole are idiots. qft Vert8813B 11-16-2008, 02:06 PM qft Cosigns. Fendamonky 11-16-2008, 05:23 PM Cosigns. Aww, what the hell.. By my girlfriends work, right next to the distribution center, it is now at 1.60. Seems like every couple of days it gets lower by a few cents. With this rate, I'm thinking of a road trip! wotnartd 11-20-2008, 02:48 PM I can see pic... Hit F5 wotnartd 11-20-2008, 02:49 PM $1.87 now Vert8813B 11-20-2008, 03:14 PM Hit F5 Yah, now it are gone. czarofzar 11-20-2008, 05:54 PM i saw the first 1.99 today near me 95whitepep 11-24-2008, 06:27 PM Just paid 1.62 last night and filled the tank. It was a diamond shamrock so I'm not worried about bad gas....I'm curious why in a 20 mile span it goes from 1.60 to close to 1.95. Vert8813B 11-24-2008, 06:33 PM I think it was 2.25 here on my way home. 2ndGen.Rocket 11-24-2008, 11:58 PM Saw $1.78 here today Sassy 11-25-2008, 07:59 AM $1.99 here still... rtryb2200 11-25-2008, 12:43 PM I just paid 1.74 in the twin cities Vert8813B 11-25-2008, 01:02 PM I saw at this tiny auto shop that also has the real old gas pumps and also rents u-hauls $3.71. I dunno if they don't have gas anymore or went out of business or if that is the actual price. I highly doubt the latter though, but it would be funny. Tofuball 11-25-2008, 01:16 PM Theres a few places by me that sell gas for around 3.70 still, just cuz they cater to the folks who just pull off at the first gas station without even checking the price. There's a place in Glen Echo that I'm pretty sure is still over five bucks, haven't checked tho. Vert8813B 11-25-2008, 01:20 PM Capitalistic bastards! Smite them, Ark! 2ndGen.Rocket 11-25-2008, 05:28 PM The whole idea of regulating price gouging is retarded anyways, let the forces of supply and demand work as they should. I was telling people that around here when we had a shortage a couple months ago. Let the station charge $7 a gallon, they will eventually reach the point where people won't be topping off their tank every day. Once demand starts to pull back the stations will be forced to maintain competitive prices. Tofuball 11-25-2008, 05:54 PM Agreed. |
