Saturday night i hurt my ankle. Went to the emergency room Last night finally. Broke my tibula in 2 spots. Broke the fibula 6 inches above my ankle. Snapped some tendon in my ankle that is going to require surgery. Fucking sucks. Now im hopping around on crutches half drunk and bpmbed on hydrocodone/apap.

A friend of mine did the same thing.

Except that he was sober, and he tripped on a soda can in his room.

Remember, there is no such thing as an orthopaedic emergency. Go to a specialist-specialist if possible. Get the absolute best fuckin' guy you can get. If the doc says he can do the surgery, ask him if he's an ankle specialist. If he says no, ask to be referred to one. Take it from me on this, I've had more goddamn ortho surgeries than most people, go to a specialist.

i just slipped on 2 steps. didn't even fall, just landed wierd.

With Ankles it is better to break than to sprain. I had that BS when I raced Motorcycles. The Bike landed on my ankle and twisted it completely over. The Toes went under the Heel and briefly were facing backwards. This, while wearing those stiff ass motocross Boots

It took a year to get to an OK status and about 5 years to stop being weak.

When I was 20 I was playing basketball drunk and broke my foot. Fun! I sat home all summer in a cast.

Thats some impressive swelling. :bigthumb:

Got my full cast today. The ortho guy said no surgery- just got a nasty sprain along with my broken tibia and fibula.

I'm, out of my cast the last week of march. My x-rays last tuesday showed little to no bone growth:mad: But he thinks things will be greaqt by my apoointmetn march 6th.

The doctor said that to my dad last year. He broke his ankle last April and his ankle is still broken. He nearly died on the operating table when a blood clot went into his lungs during the surgery to fix his ankle. Doctors wont operate again because they are afraid it will happen again.

Yea beware what any non specialist says about your ankle. My brother broke his wrist (both bones) straight across above the bend skateboarding. The ortho surgon he saw originally pinned it together and sent him home. After 6 weeks it was healed but all mis-shapen and still had lots of pain. He went back and they said the bones didnt heal staight and they wanted to do some technique called a "soft eponge?" where they basically fuse your wrist straight. He finally got into see a sports medicine specialist and they shattered and rebuilt his wrist and got it back into shape. Now he has 90% mobility instead of 0% . Go see a specialist!!

......I lost some of the movement in it, but at least I can pull a trigger ;)

What you should be doing is using that to release the millions of voices on a daily basis.

In ur case 3 strokes and a quiver.
