So I started a graduate degree 3 years ago, and this semester is my LAST ONE. Class starts today....just one class. It seems so weird.

Cant wait to get out of school. The other week the VP at work asked me what it cost in total to get the degree....I figured at one time it was 16k....l but my work is paying for all but 3500 dollars of it which is nice. Getting a graduate degree with NO student loans.

You know whats funny is that my brother, who only has a H.S. degree makes more than you. Granted he has to work outside 1/3 of the time, but the fact remains that after 5+ years at your work you are just now getting promoted to a senior status ( most people make it there in their early thirties), and you make less that a HS graduate.

So whats your courses? Mines a CS class on hardware (very dry) and boring. No coding at all! Again I have a research paper due. The last one I did I got the highest score in class (96%). It was a paper on Security with Quantum computing.....even more boring, and lots of math....

BTW I remember gen ed classes as being the ones to meet chicks.....have fun.

Egh, Numerical Methods, freshman design (even though im a 24 year old junior.. yeah, big schedule FUBAR), Mechanics of materials, Engineering component design, and last but not least... history of china 101 :D. Theres actually quite a few cuties in the engineering dept, and of course, TONS in the gen ed class...UA is known for hawties. I'm gonna talk to the one that was in my dynamics class last semester whos currently in my materials class. I've already taken it (And i got an A or B) but we used it to transfer out another class so i'm retaking it for an easy A. And I can help her study, :bigthumb:

Not really sure how that bolsters your case. I see the attempt you are making, but those threads are of no particular interest to me. yea been with this company for almost 12 years and I make the average salary for engineers. I grew up in thi area and have decided not to leave....even though I had huge offers from microsoft china and the likes.

Its a good field to get into and in my area there is a lot of tech companies...hence I needed a boost to my resume and I went and got a grad degree.

A lot of Indian programmers hear on visa, and now management is getting wise after 3 years that all they write is shit, produce havoc....I suspect by the next 6 months we will faze them all out. Its the difference between an education and 'job training'. A lot of them have been learning on our dime.
Heck Boeing had to learn this the hard way too.
