p.s.- any body ever notice how jeep motor have the intake ports and exhaust ports on the same side? they alternate...intake-exhaust-intake exhaust....is it wierd that i think thats wierd? it doesnt seem very thermally efficient. maybe its b/c its american made

rotary engines have the intake and exhaust ports on the same side as well.

My peeps used to have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L i6, it was a
torque-a-holic.

too many power-brake burnouts have left my tires bald and sad. if i'm at a stand still and floor it, the back tires will spin until the slush box shifts to second. woohoo...i'm hardcore as h.ell!

Actually, thats a throwback to the carburator days. Back when carb's where the norm, they needed to be warm in the winter so they didn't use cross-flow heads. Now they do, but the the Jeep's engine design is fairly old and they probably just didn't change it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Rotaries have it on the same side because it would be impossible to put it anywhere else with this design.

I would have put the spark plugs on the bottom of the engine and had a remote sump

ya now that i think about the whole spark plug placement it makes sense about the design of the rotary.
