First, I finally got my parts in for the engine I'm rebuilding, all $730 worth. I still have some cleaning to do before I can actually start putting it together but hopefully I'll have it running by next month, but the 2nd part of this may cause a problem to that.

Second, I start a new job after the holiday, July 7 at Performance Friction. U can probably guess by the name what they do. Any way, I currently work for Aurora Technologies(ATI) as a CNC machine setup/operator for 2 yrs now @ 9.50/hr without a raise during that time. I had the production manager of PF call me after seeing my resume on Monster.com to offer me a machinist job at $15 something/hr, this is Tues last week, so we set a meeting for interview for Thurs morning, well by then he already filled that position but had 2 other jobs also open which were for a CNC machine setup/operator like I'm doing now starting at $11 something/hr., I think it's like $2 more than what I'm making now so hopefully it will be enought of an increase to cover the gas back and forth, they're in Clover, SC, yeah I know it's a long drive, anyway, I decided to take it, and this place DOES give raises, and the best part is after the first 2 yrs, my medical imsurance wont cost me a dime, company pays %100. In case u haven't guessed yet, this place casts and machines their own brake rotors, calipers and backing plates for brake pads for.....and get this.....NASCAR. Nothing they do is OEM. I don't know if any of their stuff is sold to the automotive aftermarket. Sorry this ended up being so long. Hope u didn't get tired reading it.

Now I don't know about being the most gas efficient engine ever made, I guesstimated that I was getting about 20-21mpg with the stock 12a with holley.
