you mean all it takes to outrun crotchrockets is 450hp? damn thats easy!

i dont normally race anything on the street (mainly due to buttloads of wheelspin)
i do remember 91LX trying to get me to run him one night out in spartanburg but i dont think i did. i just had a stock LS1 back then.
i've beaten plenty of things at the track, however. :dragster:

I've outrun 600cc bikes easily in my FD. 750's are a close run. anything larger still takes me. Of course, I worry about racing bikes- never know when one of 'em is going to cross his limit and wipe out, and there are just as many bad bikers as there are drivers out there.

:

No. All of these claims either involve highly unskilled riders, or they weren't racing.

Take a look at the link below. It's a 4 year old CBR 600 with just exhaust that smokes damn near everything besides high 10 and low 11 second cars.

www.carsvsbikes.com

On the same token, there are a few very fast cars on there that end up taking the bike, but it is damn close.

Point being, unless your putting down near 500 at the wheels, you aren't going to take any modern 600 or above till 100-110mph.

Been quite awhile since I've been out street racing, and I won't mention all the cars that had no chance, but heres a list of significant ones I remember in the TII.

Wins:
2 slightly moded AWD turbo DSMs
3rd gen prelude with a turbo
2 4th gen preludes with H22s
N/A MKIV supra
MKIII turbo supra
Couple mustangs with V8s and such (mostly light moded 5.0s and 4.6s)
240sx with turbo/swap

Lost:
TT supra
WRX STI <---my car was stock at the time
300zx TT who got a jump and stayed ahead and then wouldn't run again

Thats all I remember, right now I have one ponit left on my license, and don't really want to risk it street racing, not to mention street racing is pretty dumb is most cases(not so much on open roads with no/low traffic, but I used to race on city street  )

Plus my car is runing on a partily untuned microtech and I don't really have anyone to tune it except me with my wideband, which I've slowly been working the bugs and but I'm still runing AFRs in the low 10s under boost, so I'll have to fix that and get the boost up a little more (currently ~10psi) before I race anyone.

Right now I have my sights set on some older 600cc sportbikes, and if I beat them decently, I'll go after a newer R6, CBR600RR, and ZX6R in my town...we'll see what I can do.

Unless you're running high 11's or better, don't even bother.
