what happened to the YZ? or some other two stroke?
still working on that. If I can sell the WR for what I'm seeing for blue book values I will have a two smoke in the garage.

How much was that extra light on the front?

it isn't an "Extra Light" persay, its a complete racelight set (HID & high power Halogen) built by Baja Designs out of California. IIRC it was ~ $500 + $200 or so for the required stator rewind.

Is it worth it? My light is pretty damn bright.

The light on the XRR models was pathetic, you either had to put in a bulb from an XRL or do something like what I did. This thing puts out more light then most cars do, it turns the night into daylight. I bought it because we used to do a lot of night rides and after the fourth time of almost hitting wildlife (1 - deer, 2 - antelope, 1 - cow) it was time for a new light. Also, when doing 70 - 80mph in the pitch black of night, you try and get every bit of light you can.

Next purchase is a helmet light set.

I think i'm getting ready to purchase HIDs for my expedition. Found a dealer with good reviews that sells the ballasts and any bulb size pretty much for like $150 or $200 a set or something. I think I need aftermarket housings for the true effect though because like all ford suvs pre ~2004 or so has the lights that aren't "clear".

It'd probably be worth it... but I don't keep vehicles long.

Putting HID's on my sled this fall (with Animal's help).

I like the output of the HID but I don't like how... harsh... the light is. I really like the light output of Halogen, but sometimes you just have to deal with what wouldn't be your first choice for better light.

I like HID's but haven't noticed that big of a difference with them compared to other options. I have Silverstars on my CBR and they are bright as shit. The headlights on the rover was bright as hell to begin with, and when I swapped Silverstars in they are almost too bright. I get flashed pretty often when I have low beams and fogs on. The light spectrum on the road looks pretty damn close to that from HID's as well. I never saw the need to drop the $600 or so necessary to convert them over for what would amount to little or no difference.

A decorative garnish, it's a relative of parsley.
