Finally got the engine completed a few weeks ago and in the car and running over the weekend, just been having carb problems and trying figure out the wiring for an rx7 alt. Should be driving it by the following weekend. I'm so happy :D

:) glad to hear it.. I didn't know (or remember I guess) that you were doing that. How much hp should you be putting down w/ it?

Not really sure, it's a street port that was originally done by Roger Mandeville many, many years back when this friend of mine had it done for his rx4. I think it was rated somewhere around 240hp but I think that's at the flywheel. He ran like 9.4's in the rx4 at Greer. My car's quite abit lighter than the 4.

I lost an apex seal in the '83 engine that was in it and luckly it happened about the time I was due a tax refund so it was agreed that I would rebuild this '74 model engine I had been waiting to rebuild that had already been streetported.

sweet we're building an engine for my friends CRX its supposed to be in the car next weekend. they gave us the wrong crankshaft bearings at advance auto so we have to wait until tomorrow to reassemble the internals.

I didn't realise that port was supposed to make that much power... thats awesome for ya

Carb prob straightened out, the rebuild kit I got had two different gaskets that go between the carb body and base plate, seems I used the wrong one causing fuel to leak thru the venturies during idle. And had the alt checked out to make sure it was working and to get some questions answered about wiring it and seems my way will work just fine. So should be driving it by the weekend. :D
