Tofuball 01-29-2008, 11:31 AM So, my wife just got a new cat to keep her company while she's cooking and cleaning and being pregnant.
So, this new cat is very smart, affectionate, loving, etc.
So, It's a great cat . . .
HOWEVER, all my friends named Dan (And there are a few of them) are allergic to cats.
Has anyone here had to "De-Dander" a cat before?
Or am I going to have to upgrade the Dans to meet spec?
czarofzar 01-29-2008, 11:34 AM They keep the drunks outside
Eatmyclutch 01-29-2008, 02:01 PM Cats make the worst pets. They do nothing but take up space and never make a mess. They are too independent and need no humans to groom them for. And they almost always seek solitude...
czarofzar 01-29-2008, 02:31 PM I have three cats; Spanky, Nala, and Spot. Spot is the bitch cat that stays outside, fending off gophers and other critters. Spanky is the other male besides myself in the household with no balls and claws. His job is to chew plastic off of toilet paper wrap and for me to sniff him from time to time. Nala is Spanky's bitch. Although 1/2 the size of Spanks, she has claws and dont take shit from her man. Kind of like my marraige.
DarkAngelKamui 01-29-2008, 04:04 PM Did you name him Mario?
Queen 01-29-2008, 07:09 PM aren't pregnant women told to stay away from cats?
aren't pregnant women told to stay away from cats?
why?
czarofzar 01-29-2008, 07:13 PM never heard of that. It's the infant that cats need to stay away. I guess cats lick their milky mouths and suffocate the kid.
Queen 01-29-2008, 07:14 PM why?

I'm not sure how common it is, but I'd at least tell her not to clean the litterbox herself unless she wants to risk it
czarofzar 01-29-2008, 07:16 PM LAWL! Looks like tofu is the catbox kid!
Gross! you mean my cat could have that? bye-bye skeeter.
Queen 01-29-2008, 07:19 PM lol it's not usually a big deal, except in pregnant women where it has been known to cause abortions and birth defects.. besides, if your cat has it, you probably already do anyway :P
czarofzar 01-29-2008, 07:20 PM ah, yer british

Err, you've had some crappy cats. Do you beat them or something?
Actually, barn cats can be like that, where they only like a few select people, or no one at all. But they're GREAT for keeping the barn (or even large sections of the farm) free of rodents and birds.

"ACCIDENTALLY INGEST" cat waste?!
Queen 01-30-2008, 07:29 AM I think it's safe to say that 8 million people in a civilized country aren't going around eating cat shit, even if it is Australia, so like I said, just tell her to be careful :P
SpartanTS 01-30-2008, 07:44 AM I would have gotten a small dog myself. I've never been a big fan of house cats.

Everyone should link all their websites to this thread so that TFL is the first page that comes up when someone does a search on "Anal Cloud"
TFL: The Anal Cloud Site
