From the looks of it a little bit touch work on the paint and some polishing it'll be good as new. How's it running? I don't know, I have the fuel system apart cuz it leaked like crazy. Just needed new hose and some clamps. Ran great before it sat. :P fcdrifter13 04-16-2007, 07:03 AM Hmm alot of the parts off that look like they would fit my RE5 Tofuball 04-16-2007, 12:42 PM Very likely They like to standardize :) ComradeGiant 04-16-2007, 08:53 PM Makes me want to get my Nighthawk going. Stupid starter clutch... Cosby 04-16-2007, 10:03 PM I want a motorcycle of some sort. I'll probably get something over the summer. rxtasy 04-16-2007, 11:31 PM same here, just don't have the money for one. Tofuball 04-17-2007, 02:14 PM same here, just don't have the money for one. They're super cheep man, just set your sights lower :P ComradeGiant 04-17-2007, 03:48 PM If you just want something that runs you can get a decent bike for $500. The big cruisers are just as fun as the sport bikes, and they'll all kill you more quickly than anything but a .45 slug. Terrh 04-18-2007, 10:01 AM GSXR-1000, R1, Busa, etc are ideal starter bikes, and don't foregt to rev it to 5-6k before letting out the clutch when starting from a stop. ComradeGiant 04-18-2007, 01:22 PM LOL... Best suicide directions EVER. dreadseb 04-19-2007, 12:01 AM GSXR-1000, R1, Busa, etc are ideal starter bikes, and don't foregt to rev it to 5-6k before letting out the clutch when starting from a stop. Lol, I'll get right on it, should be a hell of a trip, who wants my painkillers if I live? Like all the other people in here I want a bike to but havn't got money for one now, though so one of you are gonna have to buy me a busa or an r1 first. Tofuball 04-29-2007, 10:37 AM This is what my bike is SUPPOSED to look like: http://www.thegsresources.com/_scripts/gallerydispwnd.php?RegID=51 http://www.thegsresources.com/_gallery/images/0051-1.jpg Tofuball 05-24-2007, 08:19 AM So, I replaced a few clamps and the battery and now it ran GLORIOUSLY for a while, and now it wont start O_o. rxtasy 05-24-2007, 01:17 PM If you just want something that runs you can get a decent bike for $500. the last bike i give $500 for several years ago turned out to be a POS. it currently serves as a heavy object the dog is chained to. Tofuball 05-24-2007, 01:21 PM Whats wrong with it? Can I have it? :D 2ndGen.Rocket 05-24-2007, 08:52 PM You clean that thing up yet? dean82 06-20-2007, 09:03 PM thats super cheap for a classic. just need some painting job i guess. Tofuball 06-20-2007, 09:18 PM You clean that thing up yet? Haha, Kinda. I decided to rebuild the engine. I already finished rebuilding the carbs and replacing all the fluids, and changing out all kinds of things and completely redid the electrical system. Now my stator and regulator/rectifier have died. *sigh* :-p |
