Alex-7 12-13-2006, 02:35 AM haha, you guys are gay.......and I did block meddle.........i kinda got a bit tired of his weak, failed attempts to piss me off.
it's always the same:
start with some random Spanish name, insert picking something ( strawberries, tomatoes, cotton etc. etc.) and followed by other sort of rcists remark.....
at one point I fought back but after making him my bitch every time I just got bored and he bacame just an annoyance. Why waste my time on someone who is clearly intellectually inferior?
He has an alcohol problem and loves it, he has some sociopathic tendencies and he only attacks me on those days that he feels inadequate about himself ( perhaps some Latino pointed and laughed and said something in spanish towards him......or his GFs started jocking bigger, browner cocks.) but in the end he tries to make himself feel better by harrassing me..........which always ends in failure and he just stops posting........
by blocking him I avoid reading his non-sensical, alcohol driven, meth-induced anger problems about his inadequacies......
he still wears the collar that reads : Madrx7racer's bitch.
sorry if i'm robbing the rest of you of good entertainment.......you should have seen him when an ex of mine popped into the rx7club to talk shit about me.......he loved and still got owned by me.........lol................
Pancho, I spent more at dinner tonight than your fat ass makes in a month harvesting fruit. Your chubby girlfriend is the type that I would meet ina bar and fuck in the alley before i went home with a real women. You have nothing on me. Neither intelligence, "internet ownage skillZZ" relevance to the rotary community, even the right to breath air.
Keep driving the laughable turd you're so proud of. Hang more ill fitting tacky body panels on it. if you keep it up, you may even get to 4-5 different colors on that rustbucket. i'm sure your gf is proud to pimp the barrio in that fly ass hoopty. Please continue to update us on your junkyard FC project. we all are exited to see you break 200hp on that mean machine. Also, someone should quote this so that fat little wetback can see it.
Since petty innuhnet arguments are what makes this place near and dear to my heart, I figured this would be a good time to take people off ignore and demonstrate said ease of ownage for those of us who weren't blessed enough to have witnessed it five years ago on the 7 club.
Have at it:

I've been owning that fucking ricer since 04 or whenever he joined.
Before the biglist, and in tandem with its existence, rx7club was a stl rotary website. I've been on there since before the site was restored in 01.

I have all his contact info ( how I know he's two faced..he was desperately trying to get rid of some parts and he started licking my balls when i told him i was interested) and all he has on me is that I'm latino, 230 lbs and am PROUD of my crappy looking FC that I built from scratch out of my old TII parts ( which I spend more money on than he has in his FC)........

all old project cars are pos money pits.
and you left out the fact that the FB and FC suspension design is archaic and inferior.
the FC is unreliable simply because it's old, not because it's inherently unreliable.
n/a 13b can hit 200k+ before needing rebuild. my friend has a 175k original, compression is fine. only problem is the slowness, and the fact that everything else on the car is worn out.
turbo... well. life expectancy isn't so great. on the plus side, i always thought rotary rebuilds were cheap. if you built a piston motor to handle boost to 300hp or so, it would cost alot more than $1000-2000, even if you do most of your own labor.
Lol... what do stock tii's make at the flywheel, 190? and n/a's about 140?
GS-R integras put out 180+, Type-R's ~200 iirc... and both will last 3 times as long as 13bt. Go ahead and let those "honda bois" bust your ass... dumping money into fcs/fbs is actually more stupid than dumping it into a honda to "Race."

A saab went a million miles too... but is that typical? No. Don't give me that bullshit, rotary engines TYPICALLY require a rebuild much sooner than a similar piston engine. Furthermore, they require more maintenance... and if it gets a little warm ONCE... kiss it bye-bye.

5. ummm.....see #2.......it's called maintenance.......of course shit is old......you have to replace it. Only a moron compares an RX7 to a Honda....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

no argument there. the margin of error is much lower for tuning.

unfair comparison btw.
the type R engine is an incredible engine. honda makes awesome n/a engines, no doubt about it. b18c5 is basically a fully built n/a high compression motor. not your typical engine. i believe porting and assembly steps were done by hand. to be honest i don't know much about the GSR motor so i'll leave it at that.
now if you want to rag on the FC 13b, compare it to a sr20det. 30mpg, 150k+ and handles 300+whp on stock internals.

tell you what, champ....go get yourself one of those hondas....go get a type r teg...lets go hit the drags. Oh, sorry, I forgot, that front wheel drive really sucks ass when it comes to trying to launch right. OK, scratch that....lets hit a road course...no, wait....sorry again...because the FC handles much better in the turns than a FWD teg.
Obviously you dont understand the fact that even a type r integra is nothing more than a civic chassis with a better engine. Sure, they welded the frame a bit better and removed a bit of weight, but the FC was designed to handle better from the start. And it does. When looking at the facts here, you have two choices...
1--pick a car that was designed with built-in handling abilities and an engine that supports a lot of modifications, OR
2--pick a car that is basically a civic that has been slightly redone with a stronger engine....
I'll take the one that was designed to do it better, thanks. The only way to really make a civic handle is to pour a sizeable chunk of change into it....at that point, why bother with a civic?? If I have to put all that cash into it to make it worth a damn, I'm just gonna go start with a real car instead. Hell, my T-Bird supercoupe handles better than a civic....and it weighs over 3000 pounds....that should tell you something....
you might as well be talking about the neon SRT-4....at the end of the day it is still a neon chassis, with all the faults of a neon chassis. Sure, its got more power, but there are so many better choices out there....

Your the one driving around with an "safc (untuned)".
But for what its worth, I threw my 1st gen together with a block I had sitting for 2 years that I pulled out of one of my t2s. It has maybe 90k on it. The whole goal of building a 10sec 1st gen for under 4k didn't lend itself to a fresh rebuild. Motor has in spec comp, pulls 17lbs vacuum and trap 117 on 9-10 psi. With damn near no timing because I was breaking up terribly last time i had it on the dyno.
Gains 32mph between the 1/8th and 1/4. !!!

Mazda has always stayed in touch with its buyers and has been a leader in innovation. In 1978 the first generation 12A powered RX-7 took the world by storm, exceeding production expectations and causing traffic jams at the dealerships. The rotary engine had found its true home and Mazda had found the heart of the sports car lover. The RX-7 achieved immediate success with "Car of the Year" awards across the globe and major racing victories at events such as SPA and Daytona. The RX-7 made its own name on the Australian circuit with victory in the Australian touring car championships of 1983 and 84. A 2nd outright at the 1983 Bathurst 1000 during the height of the V8 era proved just how formidable the rotary could be, giving cause to the many traditional racers changing their V8 cars for rotary power.
A new fuel injected 6 port version of the race proven 13B rotary became standard equipment for the second generation or series IV RX-7 of 1986. Moving up market to become a more civilised sports car, the 13B rotary was given a turbo option boasting 137 kW by employing a newly developed twin scroll turbocharger to take full advantage of the engine's strong exhaust pulsing. The turbo was obviously the production 'rocket' factory had intended it to be and was now competing against the established marquees on the world market. The RX-7 was voted "The sports car to own for the everyday driver" by much of the world's motoring press. Refining an already excellent product, the 1989 RX-7 kept Mazda ahead of the pack of ever emerging sports cars. With 146 Kw on tap from the totally re-developed 13B turbo engine, RX-7 sales again surged ahead of the field. Notable publicity from local Mazda racer Gary Waldon winning numerous production car titles fulfilled the 'win on Sunday sell on Monday' cliche.

a completely different league than your avg. grocery getter 1.8L anything.....new car may outpower it, outhandle it, and look better doing it....stock for stock........but that's the difference that comes with 20 years of automotive advances.....when well maintained and modified these cars can outlast a piston motor and out-perform it...
there are several types of 7 owners:
the enthusiast that knows the history, apreciates the racing heritage, and the attributes and defects of every single RX-7 but still loves the car due to it's uniqueness and ability to stand out in a sea of cars.

Wow, thanks for the thoughtful write up?
What about the person who thinks they're a lot of fun, so he cuts them up and builds them, tears the shit out of them for a year, then parts them out and scraps or sells the shell?
madrx7racer 12-15-2006, 02:48 PM SNTP.............seriously......shut up.
FWD is the standard int he automotive industry because it is cheaper to make a FWD car......it understeers like hell which many see as a benefit for MOST DRIVERS......the front tire has to proportion grip between lateral (cornering) and longtitudinal(accelerating) so you'll evetually reach your tire's maximum grip and lose it the harder you accelerate.
Bwahahaha....imagine being in a FWD car and you underestimate the tighness of the turn......you are come in too hot.........under decent braking.........and then you turn the wheel.........BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA
in a RWD you can at least counter steer and possibly pull out if you know how to........have you ever seen a FWD car countersteering???? HAHAHA
wotnartd 12-15-2006, 02:53 PM Do you need an excuse to like a car? Everybody likes it for their own reasons.
I'm the history geek and the one that likes to go cruising. More power someday, but right now, it's all about the drive to get there.
At its time, the 7 was a great sports car, it's time has come and gone. All the cars are aging and losing what they originally had. Now we've got to dump ass loads of money into them just so we can have fun in the car we like to drive. It seems to me a lot more 7 owners have a sentiment towards their car that a lot of others do not.
We can sit here and bitch back and forth about 7s and cars, but let's all agree on one thing. Sports cars, no matter how old, condition, or power always leave you wanting more.
madrx7racer 12-15-2006, 03:00 PM Wow, thanks for the thoughtful write up?
What about the person who thinks they're a lot of fun, so he cuts them up and builds them, tears the shit out of them for a year, then parts them out and scraps or sells the shell?
ok.....add them to the list......I call those ppl " those who increase the value by limiting the supply.......
supply and demand
that's why SA's and FBs are dirt cheap........FC's are cheap to decent(5-6K for a nice TII) and the reason why the FD will be so expensive in the next 10 years......CYM FD's are rare as hell.....
by tearing the shit out of them and parting it out they're doing two things:
they're shrinking the supply of RX7's little by little AND increasing the supply of RX7 parts little by little......
win/win.
wotnartd 12-15-2006, 03:06 PM I plan on parting my soon to be departed FC as best I can, I figure the frame is junk from rust, but there are lots of little pieces that still work just fine.
Say No To Pistons 12-15-2006, 03:07 PM SNTP.............seriously......shut up.
HAHAHA
RWD's tend to go into corners faster than FWD's, but FWD's pull out of corners faster. Go ask any road course drivers... GO ask Damian or anyone that autocross or goes to the road course. You under estimate FWD's, especially Honda's.... Maybe you should do a little research on them, look at the SCCA results too while youre at it.
People like you and skydiver make rx7 owners look bad.
wotnartd 12-15-2006, 03:10 PM Damian is short. And he won a folding chair at MRR '06, bastard. I was supposed to get that!! He seems cool though.
madrx7racer 12-15-2006, 03:32 PM I was actually pretty impressed at the Pro SCCA integras last year........... but the only reason why the FWD does well NOW is mainly due to the research and development motorsports had to do when FWD was introduced in the 80s.........the learning and upgrade curve on FWD was ridiculous......they had big problems that needed to be addressed fast in order to use them to race competitively.........
remember just because it can be MADE a decently handling machine doesn't mean it beats the car DESIGNED to be a fast well-handling machine.
you make young ppl look stupid.
and you never answered......have you ever seen a FWD countersteer? other than in cartoons?
Say No To Pistons 12-15-2006, 03:40 PM Yes i've seen FWD's countersteer and understeer. We're not even talking about the history of FWD, stop going in the wrong direction. 5. ummm.....see #2.......it's called maintenance.......of course shit is old......you have to replace it. Only a moron compares an RX7 to a Honda....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You're a complete fucking moron... "your mom"... give me a fuckin' break, keep gettin digitally ass-raped by meddle you worthless mexican moron.
BTW, as noted in the other posts... the litte honda's you're talking shit about (gs-r, type-r, probably even an si!), can pretty much outperform any tii fc and especially an n/a FC.
Is it smart to put money into hondas? I don't think so... but at least they'll fucking run longer than 50,000 miles between rebuilds and cost about half as much to do so... much more dumb to put money into turd fc's and fb's.
Try racing an EG civic or an Integra Type-R or a even a GS-R with the same power your rx7 is producing on the road course. They'll whoop your ass around. FWD doesn't mean it handles like shit. DO a lil research, you ignorant fool.
Arrogant rx7s owners... Spitting shit when people don't agree with them.
BTW: Read carefully and use that fucking head of yours before you respond next time.
Indeed, rx-7 owners think their cars are made of gold. The FD is pretty bad ass performance wise... but 2nd gens? give me a fuckin' break.
140 hp n/a, 200 hp turbo. As far as handling, have fun replacing every suspension part on those 20 year old turds. Drag racing? That's where FWD fails from dead stop... road-racing > drag racing, any day.
Face it, those things have seen their day... it's STUPID to dump money into an FC (if you're looking for performance.)
aznpoopy 12-15-2006, 06:57 PM actually SNTP is right
if you ever go road race you learn that
rwd tends to be faster in slower out
fwd tends to be slower in faster out
understeer (aka stability) lets you get on the gas much earlier in the turn.
rwd has better balance and can carry more speed into the initial section of the turn.
but enough talk! how about a video?
top setup n/a k20 eg6 vs. comptech supercharged s2000 on a twisty track. who wins?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpB5nDvwZMk
note that 200hp eg6 had a faster lap time than the 400hp nsx.
nobody is arguing that fwd is better. but its simplistic, if not downright ignorant, to shrug off a car just b/c its fwd. that would be like a v8'r shrugging off a rx7 just because its rotary.

you are such a fuckwad--I replied to the post about a fucking gokart, and you quote that to bitch about this??
As for the handling thing--AT NO TIME did I EVER say that it doesnt handle because it's FWD, you fucknut. The fact is simple--the civic is NOT a car that has sport-intended suspension. They stiffened it up a bit for the type R teg, but just like I said, YOU ARE STILL STARTING WITH A CIVIC DESIGN YOU MORON.
Compare this to the suspension design of the FC. It was designed, without question, better for such purposes than a civic was. Do you doubt that?? Of course you do--youre the asshole that thinks you know shit when you post about a fucking gokart.
In any event, about the post concerning "the 20 year old suspension"....if you are taking your car on a road course with 20 year old suspension and have not changed out the bushings and done the needed work first, you DESERVE to get beaten by a civic. But I have something you obviously dont-common sense. I would NEVER race a car that was in that kind of shape. Perhaps you would. That's your problem, zero, not mine.
"those things have seen their day"....that's a retarded comment. Who are you to determine what someone else should spend their money on? Whether you like it or not, an FC that hs kept in good shape is far more capable than a civic that is kept in good shape. Start with the mods and it can get very interesting. But in any case, it's their car and their money, so dont think that your opinion somehow means something to everyone else, just like I am sure mine doesnt. Hell, how many people go on and on about how DSMs are a total waste?? I think they are, with all the issues they have....but you can bet your ass that there are some really nice one out there that are really fast....
On top of this, you need to consider the driver--more ricer kids are gonna pick a civic or teg than a 7, specifically because of cost issues. How many of them go out and get a civic and slap all that shit on it, like a park bench-sized wing? THAT is a waste of money. Taking an economy car and trying to make it into a sports car with a few minor changes is likewise not very effective.....the chassis, the suspension design, everything about that car was designed for ECONOMY....so you add some horsepower and take out a little weight--if you think that is all thats needed to make a race car, you got troubles, mang....

I was 20 years old with a pretty decently modded FD (Parents didn't pay a dime.) You're 40 with an FC. Go ahead and brag about how much money you make, drunk skanks you bag, and how worthless your life is drinking it away; I don't care. You do make more money than me, but obviously you don't use it wisely considering your car of choice is a turd FC. The only car I've ever had that I consider to be remotely "quick" was my FD, which I didn't race... Sorry, nothing near a ricer aka poser.
I certainly won't pretend that FC's are fast without a shitload of money dumped into them. I enjoy throwing the integra thing in your faces because you can't take it that Honda makes something that out preforms your 80s shitboxes, easier to maintain, cheaper to make "fast", and has every advantage in the world over an FC. Do I own one? No. Do I love making FC morons that think their cars are something special cry over it? Indeed.
I've ridden in some pretty fast shit, I can almost guarantee my "clique" has more forced induction shit than is owned on this board, combined. Do I still think drag racing is boring? Yup, which is why I don't go to drag strips anymore. Don't go with the "You gotta drive, not ride" shit either. I've driven more than a handfull of 6-7 sec 1/8th mile STREET cars (all we have is 1/8th mile here.) I'm not an internet shit talker in this sense. I've been there, seen it, got bored to death by it. Drag racing is boring, the end.

40? You've driven more than a handful of 9 second carS??!!!!!!! Thats fucking rich. Lets pretend that is true for a monemt. I still doubt you have the ability to get a 6 second 1/8 out of those cars in a boring drag race.
Since I'm known for gloating on the internet and all. If I say it, you can put your money on it. I don't give a drop of piss what you believe; I'm telling you why I feel the way I do, and that I'm not ignorant or under-exposed to drag racing. I've experienced it quite a bit, and it's boring to me.

Several mustangs with more in suspension, than the normal s5 tii (gold to you morons) is worth. Power's no good if you can't hook. I've seen stock bottom end fox body mustangs get into the 6's with the right suspension. Of course they head intake, cam, and all other bolt ons. One of my closest friends that I've known for about 10 years now had a coupe fox with a stock bottom end, gt40 heads, etc spraying 250, beeeeeeef ass suspension and tire (dot good though.)... little weight reduction... ran a 6.99.
If you want to go fast for cheap, fox body mustang... that's why there's so many of them. I'd never drive one though, ugly pieces of shit. If I were to build a car for drag racing... I'd have to go with a 98+ trans am. Looks good, especially with the ws6/9 hood and capable of some power.
As I said, drag racing bores me... not my thing. If I'm going to watch racing I'd rather watch road racing of "street legal" cars. FC + FB's are money pits... they had their place in the 80s and 90s... but it's over, move on.

GS-R with K swap would make one hell of a car. Daily drivable, fast, handles well, reliable, and practical. Hell, even a B18 would be nice.
aznpoopy 12-15-2006, 10:04 PM that would be a fairly pointless imo. k20 is what, 200hp? GSR is like 180 already, no?

GS-R with K swap would make one hell of a car. Daily drivable, fast, handles well, reliable, and practical. Hell, even a B18 would be nice.
gs-r's come with b18c1, dohc VTEC... the type-r has the B18C5, again dohc vtec.. has diff cam gears, intake, small things... you can convert the b18c1's in gs-r's to the b18c5 pretty cheap... but there's aftermarket of every part that makes more power. The LS integras come with the b18b, a non-vtec 1.8 litre motor... makes about 140-150 hp stock. People use the b20 vtec blocks from crv's to make pretty good setups. The b16 heads from civic SI's are rumored to be the best flowing heads (except type r, price vs power, SI wins). Any b-series head will bolt onto any b-series block with MINOR modification... the vtech solenoid and all that if the block is non-vtec... vtec heads that rev high + bottom ends not designed for it can lead to trouble. Most people upgrade the bottom ends before doing this... You can build a b-series n/a block putting ~220-~240 to the ground... pretty impressive if you ask me... all cheaper than a $2,000 rebuild of an n/a 13b.
K20's + K24's are TOO expensive to be logical. The motors are like 4-6k IIRC... I'd just build a beast b-series before I'd do that.
that would be a fairly pointless imo. k20 is what, 200hp? GSR is like 180 already, no?

Yes, around 180.
Edit: I'm telling you guys, I used to be the absolute biggest honda hater out there... and I still do hate ricers... but the gs-r platform is good bang for buck... and the honda aftermarket scene + parts availability is phenomenal. They will never be drag-racing cars... they have their limits... but as far as road racing + a fun car that's rock solid reliable and can be daily driven... they're hard to beat.

You can find them with around ~100-150k for $3500-4k if you look around. Everythign on them is going to last longer than an FC... going to be half as cheap, and 100 times easier to find. Personally, I think they look better too... just no ricey shit k.
It'd make a much better car for you than an FC. You'd have lots more fun modding it, your piggy bank would stay more full, and you could drive it without worrying about it breaking down. You can actually watch your speedometer instead of your heat gauge.

fixing cars and learning how to fix cars takes time and money. more time and money spent on fixing cars equals less time and money for track time and track fees and traveling expenses. for someone who has the money, it's not an issue. for people with budgetary constraints, fixing a car will eat into your track time money.

haha. look at it this way. if i give you a brand new car, you can basically take all your spare money and devote it towards seat time on a track.
now if you buy a 7, there's a lot of things that need to be done before it will be a reliable daily, let alone a track worthy learning car. stuff will continuously wear out over time, forcing you to spend money repairing it. more money for repair = less money for track.
on the upside, people with new cars don't know how to fix them. and once you've fixed enough it starts acting reliable. that's kind of where my 240 is at this point.
bottomline, if you want a 7, get a 7. no point in getting something you will be miserable with.

VIR, watkins glen, summit, etc. if we go, we go for a few days and we pay for hotel ish. entry alone is $300. gas toll food and hotel and it starts looking like 600-1k. autox and drag is not an issue. autox is everywhere and we have englishtown.

i guess you're just trying to lure me into an argument or something.
i'm way too tired to get mad right now.
but i will answer you. i won't deny i'm a bench racer. it's kind of dissappointing because i bought the car thinking i wanted to learn how to drive. instead i've learned alot about how to fix the car. life and $$$ keeps getting in the way. had to intern at a courthouse last summer. fully volunteer and unpaid. good experience but i really missed the cash. that's one of the reasons i suggested that a 7 might not be the ideal car for sntp.
my goal is to get my ass out to auto-x this summer. last season i got the 240sx running again, got some new suspension and new tires. right now i'm saving up for a helmet.
in defense of myself, i tried to be active in the local community. i spectated at some events and helped wrench on cars for some of the local autocrossers and some drifters too. i suppose you'll sneer at the drifting... but that's alright. i don't mind. :) i enjoy helping other people out and learning/teaching about cars.
