91lx 05-10-2002, 10:59 AM I was wondering if anyone has seen the new Mini Cooper in person and what you think about it. There is a blue S at Greenville BMW. It is pretty nice beyond the weird look and center mounted speedometer. I still wouldnt buy one but its decent. 05-10-2002, 03:22 PM I saw a few in florida. Theyre kind of cool. I'd never buy one though. BlueCalx 05-10-2002, 05:03 PM I have seen a few of them at the BMW dealer in G-ville, like you have said Cody. I think the exterior looks alright - the ones without the dumba$$ british flag on them - , but I think the interior is F'd UP bigtime. The seats can't be adjusted in a conventional manner (meaning the lever they have in there is awkward). I couldn't get it to move the seat into a position remotely comfortable. The door panels and everything else in there is made from what looks like some GAYASS plastic. It looks too wanna-be futuristic and really cheap. The center tach or speedo or whatever that crap is is too big and come on - put it back in front of ME, not the center passenger - ...oh wait, there is hardly room for any more than two people in that beater... The back seat is incredibly small, if that's even what it's supposed to be. If I were to sit in the front (that is, if I could get the seat adjusted...) the guy behind me would have to be an amputee to sit comfortably (if that's possible.. now that I think about it...). overall, I think they're way too small inside, and cheaply made (interior anyways...) stupid little cars... 05-10-2002, 05:29 PM lmfao, thats classic BEST REVIEW IVE EVER READ rxtasy 05-10-2002, 11:16 PM Yeah, I've seen them, there's one here in spartanburg, it's yellow. I'm not too fond of that giant speedo in the cener of the dash, not to mention how close the steering wheel is to the dash. I think they're cute little cars but I wouldn't buy one either. By the way, have any of u seen the red Ferrari Testarossa that's running around Sptbg? 91lx 05-11-2002, 07:05 PM Yeah I know a guy who signed a multi-million dollar contract with Green Bay who lives around here and of all cars he drives a 1200hp Cobra and a blown Cobra. Id be in a Ferrari or at least a Porsche. rxtasy 05-12-2002, 08:52 AM If money was no object, a Diablo <img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> and that song by Ted Nuget, I Can't Drive 55. * * "When I drive that slow ya know it's hard to steer yeah, * *and I can't get my car outta second gear. * *what used to take 2 hours, now takes all day, it took me * *16 hours to get to LA, write me up a 1...25, post my face * *wanted dead or alive, take my license, all that jive * *I........can't.......drive.........55!"
